Here are a few things you can expect as a Fast Food Worker:

To prepare, serve, sell, and maintain food/beverage items. This includes, greeting guests, taking orders, preparing orders, and receiving payment. These tasks are to be performed in a timely and professional manner to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Receive payment from the customer and process change
• Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of any machinery and equipment
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required
• Return all items used during your shift to the proper place, clean and organize all work and storage areas (including all coolers and refrigerators), empty and re-line all trash containers
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
• Other duties as assigned

• One year experience working in food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time

Summary:

The Fast-Food Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties within a fast food/snack bar establishment which may include completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen area, and maintaining inventory; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Functions:

1. Greets customers and takes food order; provides information about menus; looks for opportunity to up-sell products.
2. Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, and follows all HMS Host customer service and cash handling policies and procedures.
3. Cleans and stocks work area.
4. Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operates equipment with peripheral electronic data processing. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
5. Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed.
6. Receives inventory, moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies; maintains a solid knowledge of product and services available in unit.
7. Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products.
8. Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

1. Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
2. Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
3. Requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
4. Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
5. Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
