ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Senior leadership role in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients focused on the delivery of advice and analysis around M&A and strategic alternatives.
+ Ability to effectively lead a cross-function team to manage pitch and engagement across multiple opportunities.
+ Develop expert market and industry knowledge and apply these skills to deliver differentiated financial advice to our clients.
+ Strong new business development skills needed to develop new opportunities and lead in the conversion of these opportunities into engagements.
+ Manage the entirety of the M&A process in the structuring, approval and execution of M&A engagements from initiation to close while serving as the lead in the communications of this advice to the client.
+ Ability to assess complex situations and effectively negotiate successful outcomes.
+ Effectively manage and prioritize a deal pipeline.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback, developing employees to their fullest potential by providing challenging opportunities, developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning, and recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
+ 15+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, or M&A.
+ Proven track record of success in originating, structuring, and close complex M&A financial transactions.
+ Leadership experience and history of involvement in key decisions around a growing financial services business.
+ Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
+ Strong mentoring and leadership skills.
+ Expertise in one or more industries.
+ MBA or functional equivalent preferred.
+ Series 79 license required.

Citizens M&A Advisory is seeking a Vice President with specific sector expertise and transaction experience in Healthcare Services.
Citizens has built one of the nation's fastest growing franchises in M&A in the past few years. As part of our strategic plan we are building out our M&A practice in sectors where the bank has particular strength with the goal of building nationally leading M&A verticals.
The Vice President is responsible for leading all phases of M&A transaction execution, as well as collaborating with industry-aligned Corporate Finance and Financial Sponsor Coverage "partners" to support existing clients and drive new business origination and prospecting efforts. This individual plays an integral role in Citizens' efforts to build a leading advisory position within Healthcare Services and other responsibilities include strategic planning, hiring, developing and retaining junior bankers while fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence. This individual will also help to build the visibility and thought leadership of the vertical practice both internally and externally.
Primary responsibilities include
+ Handling all aspects of client interaction, including directing and coordinating execution of transactions and has primary responsibility for developing, maintaining and generating strategic advisory revenue.
+ Working with relationship bankers, corporate finance industry sector bankers, PE coverage bankers and product specialists on transactions and business development.
+ Working with clients/prospects on idea generation and transaction development complementary with corporate growth strategies.
+ Actively participating in the development of junior bankers (hiring/onboarding, training and mentoring)
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
+ 6+ years experience in middle-market M&A transactions
+ Deep knowledge and C-suite relationships within the aligned Industry sector
+ Experience in Healthcare is highly preferred.
+ Ability to lead and manage internal teams and external clients
+ Bachelors Degree required
+ Masters Degree/MBA preferred
