KIND has welcomed more than 41,000 attendees to trainings since its founding, cultivating partnerships with over 670 law firms, corporate legal departments, law schools, and bar associations across the country. KIND’s social services program ensures that migrant and refugee children – who have often endured trauma – receive counseling, educational support, medical care and other comprehensive services. To address the root causes of child migration from Central America and strengthen protection of unaccompanied children, KIND advocates for policy changes and educates lawmakers, the media, and the broader public on the conditions that drive these children to flee their home countries. KIND supports children returning to their home countries by connecting them to essential support services and sponsors gender-based violence prevention programs in Central America to protect children in countries of origin and transit. KIND is also building upon its expertise in the protection of unaccompanied children to encourage the development of pro bono initiatives across Europe in partnership with European NGOs. Position Summary: KIND seeks a Social Services Supervisor to manage daily social services operations of 1-2 field offices to include in-house programming, data management, reflective supervision, subject matter expertise and training on trauma-informed and client centered interventions, and crisis responses. The Social Services Supervisor will also oversee specific program areas and support the national Social Services team with other essential management duties, including fostering a culture of wellness, supervising MSW interns and leveraging community resources. Qualifications and Requirements: Master’s degree in social work or advanced degree in related field, preferably in social work, counseling, or related specialty (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMHC). Licensure (or able to obtain licensure within six months of hire), SIFI certification and experience supervising MSW interns preferred. Minimum five years of experience working with immigrant populations, unaccompanied minors, at risk youth, or young children (depending on the location). + Provide social service and mental health consultations on an as-needed basis, including meeting individually with clients and families to assess needs and providing crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals when indicated, as well as clinical interventions for children, parents, and families through individual, group, and conjoint services.
+ Provide leadership for program governance functions, serving as liaison to the Policy Council and Board Committee with primary responsibility for developing parent leadership and civic engagement skills.
+ Develop and conduct parent workshops related to issues of family and community violence, self-esteem, stress management, coping strategies, and other social service and mental health-related topics.
+ Collaborate and act as a liaison with community agency representatives at various organizational levels to facilitate and coordinate provision of needed services, including, as necessary, convening joint case conferences with staff from other involved agencies.

**Qualifications**
**Required Education and Experience:**
+ Masters degree in social work, psychology, or a related field required.
+ A minimum of five years clinical work experience required.
+ A minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
**Required Licensure:**
+ Possession of a valid California driver's license and valid auto insurance, and the ability to make home visits to various Los Angeles County locations.
+ Fire Safety Certification required within 90 days of hire.
**Required Special Skills:**
+ Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
+ Experience in providing clinical services to low-income families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
+ Demonstrated group leadership skills and experience in developing small-group workshops.
+ Direct experience in working with families around issues related to marital discord, parenting, alcohol and/or other drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and poverty.
+ Knowledge of the field of child abuse and neglect and familiarity with child abuse reporting laws.
+ Demonstrated ability to execute assigned projects in an independent and responsive manner.
+ Experience in staff supervision, coaching and mentoring.
+ Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with lay-persons and professionals from a variety of disciplines and at various organizational levels.
+ Skill in organizing and maintaining a comprehensive record-keeping system.
+ Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner to professionals.
