The successful candidate will work closely with the selected suppliers from initial product review to product qualification, and validation to successful product release and sustaining support and work on implementing new technological features .
You will also actively participate in all of the development efforts, such as product specifications, test and verification process including test automation and then lead the smooth transition to manufacturing environment for volume production. You will resolve all the issues in integrating the SSDs into data center servers and products. You will provide technical support and timely resolution of all design issues found during qualification and for all sustaining activities after release of the product.
**Detailed Responsibilities:**
The list of responsibilities (but not limited) may include:
+ Work with Suppliers selected to develop and specify Oracle requirements.
+ Conducting detailed concept and design reviews of the selected SSDs.
+ Assist in development of critical to quality criteria.
+ Defining and implementing test and validation criteria for the subsystem and its components in all System configurations, applications and workloads.
+ Ensuring compliance with Environmental and EMC Requirements and supporting such tests at System and Rack levels.
+ Responsible for working with Suppliers to analyze and resolve all technical issues with a disciplined root cause and corrective action process with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
+ Support Operations Engineering with quality criteria, issues resolution and expert technical support.
+ Communicate clearly and participate and provide excellent status in Program level management meetings and ensure that all action items are closed in a timely fashion.

**Responsibilities**
**Engineering Requirements:**
The candidate at minimum must have a BS Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of direct hands-on experience in a related high-tech industry with the following specific requirements:
+ Engineering experience with SSD design of tests and qualification of SSD, Host Bus Adaptors, PCIe bus and overall Subsystem is required.
Knowledge of NVMe, SAS, SATA, SES, PCIe protocols, Open Cloud Computing (OCP) Specifications and good understanding of transport layers and signal integrity compliance testing and issue resolution is desirable. Knowledge of SCSI is a plus.
Able to find the proper specification necessary for the task at hand and understand the contents.
Ability to write, review and edit test scripts, test automation tools. Script language knowledge and experience of Bash, SH, KSH, Python required. Other script languages such as Tcl/Tk and Expect is a plus. C/C++ and use of Diagnostic tools are also desirable. Ability and knowledge to parse outputs from various software is desired. In depth knowledge of tools like grep, awk, sed, and regular expressions. Good working knowledge of Linux is required. Must have the ability to install and configure Linux to deploy test systems.

**As part of our Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CN&S)** **Avionics** group, you will be integral to the development of Honeywell's Next-Generation of Aircraft Weather Radar technologies by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market, with a focus on quality, roll-throughput yield, aftermarket, and production support.
**As an Advanced Hardware Engineer,** you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the development and delivery of cutting-edge Radar Technologies, contributing to the safety and efficiency of air travel. You will engage with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the development of Radar products align with customer specifications and satisfies our mission to deliver top-quality products to the market.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the design, testing and validation of product/processes for advanced radar technologies and products from prototype to market.
+ Identify opportunities and propose technical improvements
+ Refine engineering designs by drafting and releasing drawing changes in Team Center.
+ Collaborate with obsolescence team in identifying and qualifying alternate part, keeping our products at the cutting edge of technology.
+ Execute and plan project subtasks (Designing, Testing, etc)
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose product performance issues.
+ Suggest enhancements to advance projects and products.
+ Establish and follow methodologies that push forward new concepts or refine existing concepts
+ Assist in product and process certification for customer acceptance
+ Communicate any non-compliance incidents and results of internal project audits to stakeholders
+ Guide engineers, technicians and associates to ensure project and product adherence to specifications and quality standards.
+ Consult with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project compliance
**U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS**
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
+ 4-5+ years of experience in Hardware engineering, ideally in aerospace or related industry
