Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a Geotechnical focus), or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering specifically within the mining industry.
- Proven experience in rock mechanics, soil mechanics, slope stability analysis, and underground mine design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical modeling software (e.g., FLAC, Phase2, Slide).
- Strong understanding of geological processes, mineralogy, and geotechnical instrumentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to interpret geological maps and cross-sections.
