**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The **Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse** delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. This role requires specialized clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the unique needs of pediatric cardiac patients. The RN collaborates closely with pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the broader perioperative team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the surgical continuum.
Utilizing established nursing frameworks such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," the RN provides individualized care that supports optimal surgical outcomes. The RN advocates for the safety and well-being of patients and their families, ensuring that care is developmentally appropriate and emotionally supportive. **Position Details:**
+ Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule
+ Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff
+ Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room
+ Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement
+ On-call is required during select non-business hours
**What you will do in this role:**
+ Evaluate patients prior to surgery
+ Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
+ Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
+ Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy
+ Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
+ Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
+ Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team - consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more
+ Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
+ Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
I. Position Summary: The Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge and skills in the care of patients. Cardiac Cath Lab service requires specialized skills, which includes scrubbing, monitoring and circulating. The delivery of care is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patients. The Registered Nurse may be asked to float to areas other than his/her assigned service area, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center. The Registered Nurse performs all procedures in accordance with all standards and policies of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Rose Medical Center. Perform Lab testing as assigned based on protocol of each test, documenting results and communicating critical as defined. Complete competency as required. Follow lab testing safety guidelines, maintenance and QC completion/documentation, and proficiency testing as assigned. Follow "good lab practice" in testing and initiate corrective action as issues occur with test system or result. Educational records (diploma or transcript) are mandatory for staff performing non-waived testing.
II. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS and ACLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN is desirable.
C. Experience: Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice. Experience requirements are specific to positions and departments as appropriate. Two years current Cardiac Cath Lab, or Critical Care experience.
D. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates good communication and organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at Rose Medical Center. Displays appropriate judgement and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.

We are seeking an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who demonstrates the values of our company by caring like family. + Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, including utilization of preference cards and ability to anticipate your surgeons needs

+ Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving your patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury

Qualifications you will need:
+ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
