**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:**
+ Conduct On-Site benchmark testing and post processing.
+ Wireless Service Provider call testing and Public Safety radio testing.
+ Commissioning, Integration and Optimization of passive and active DAS installations.
+ Perform routine or annual Preventive Maintenance Inspections.
+ Troubleshot DAS alarms, customer complaints and signal level or quality issues.
+ Stay current in the knowledge and application of In-Building Solution product implementations and on various other types of new or emerging technologies.
+ System evaluation, reporting, and support of maintenance contract customers, including on-call rotation.
+ Coordinate with Wireless Carrier Providers, AHJs, customers, and other parties as necessary to complete responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
+ Complete routine work tickets and warranty paperwork in a timely fashion.
+ Participate in training for necessary technologies, policies, and methods of procedure.
+ Maintain a technical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
**WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:**
+ 2 years of full-time experience in Public Safety and Wireless Service Provider DAS projects commissioning, Integration and Optimization.
+ Intermediate level expertise and troubleshooting skills on In-Building systems.
+ Intermediate level expertise in Field Engineer tools: Spectrum Analyzer, CW generator, PCTEL (or equivalent) data collection scanner, OTDR, Handset (UE) testing, Fluke cable tester.
+ Versed in mobile technology standards, propagation modeling, basic antenna theory, basic bi-directional amplifier (BDA) theory, link budgets, passive, and active Distributed Antenna System (DAS) design.
+ A valid driver's license.
+ Able to obtain security clearances, pass background checks, and drug tests as required.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & TRAITS:**
+ Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as required.
+ Adherence to all safety rules and regulations as directed by OSHA, CE, and the job site customer.
+ Has the ability to participate in a rotating 24-hour on-call customer maintenance contract program.
+ Maintain a safe and neat work area and accurate inventory of tools and test equipment.
+ DAS OEM certifications, i.e., JMA, Comba, Fiplex, ADRF, CommScope, Corning, etc.

**YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
On call availability for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday - Friday, with rare 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules.
**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:**
Daily travel to sites in the Northern VA, DC, Central MD area required. Travel outside of Northern VA, DC, Central MD infrequently but necessary at times.

**Position Description:**
The Field Engineer (FE) works directly for the Superintendent and is expected to exercise judgment and discretion in making recommendations, implementing policies and procedures and handling a wide variety of matters in the field. **Overview**
Field Engineer PEO C3N:
Bowhead is looking for a Field Engineer to act as company engineering representative at critical or highly sensitive base or remote locations, including customer or supplier facilities. **Qualifications**
+ AA/AS from an accredited college, or 2-year technical school and certification in area of expertise

Candidates for this position must be able to demonstrate:
+ Knowledge and understanding of integration, configuration, and troubleshooting of CS systems that are currently being fielded to Army BCTs (RAP-TR, WIN-T Inc2, tactical radio systems, JCR/JBC-P,MFOCS, MNVR, etc.)
+ In-depth experience in training, fielding, and support the C5ISR systems mentioned above
+ Experience/familiarity with the family of waveforms, including but not limited to, Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS), Second generation Anti-jam Tactical UHF Radio for NATO (SATURN), Very High Frequency/Ultra High Frequency (VHF/UHF) Line of Sight (VULOS), Warrior Robust Enhanced Network (WREN) Narrowband (NB), Tactical Scalable Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET), Tactical Scalable Mobile (TSM) and WREN SAB, HF 3G and ALE, Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), and Radio Services products including the enterprise Over the Air Management (eOTAM)
+ Experience/familiarity with the family of Software Defined Radio (SDR) communications, to include but not limited to, the Leader Radio, Manpack, and Combat Net Radio (CNR) Tactical radios and radio requirements
+ Knowledge and understanding current/future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks, as well as the architecture, protocols, security, network management and physics underlying these systems
+ Intermediate to advance level skills in Microsoft Office software suite- Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Teams
+ The ability to conduct technical coordination between PEO, PMs and units

+ 0 to 8-12 months of varied experience as field engineer/coordinator preferred; time acquired during internships in the field may count as experience.
+ Knowledge of construction specifications, and methods and procedures (e.g., formwork methodologies, self-perform work, subcontracted work scopes, temporary work, equipment, and scheduling techniques).
+ Understands and applies construction principles to problem solve.
+ Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors, and reports.
+ Proven track record to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors, designers and inspectors.
+ Develops and maintains effective partner relationships.
+ Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and construction related software.

The salary range for this position is between $69,500 and $89,500 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
