S um mary :

A Senior Imaging Service Specialist (SISS) performs and documents planned maintenance and repair of medical diagnostic imaging equipment and associated systems under the supervision from service management to perform the required duties. The SISS must possess and demonstrate a highly advanced knowledge and ability to use the required test equipment and have the required electronic and mechanical knowledge and skills. The SISS must have the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information required to perform and document planned maintenance and repair of the diagnostic imaging equipment and systems. The SISS must demonstrate advanced organizational skills as well as effective communications, mentor developing technical staff, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with company personnel and Clinical staff in accordance with established Renovo operational and personnel policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities :

  • Independently and under service management supervision performs general troubleshooting and repairs to the block circuit and component level. Also, independently and under service management supervision performs installations, calibrations and planned maintenance.
  • Proper use of all standard test equipment:
  • multimeter e. invasive and non-invasive imaging test devices
  • oscilloscope f. service software and keys
  • dosimeter g. hand and power tools
  • AC line analyzer h. phantoms
  • Be able to read, analyze, interpret and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams. Exercise good system troubleshooting skills
  • Proven demonstration in understanding basic aspects of clinical applications and image quality requirements related to medical imaging equipment.

Specific Responsibilities (continued) :

  • Perform and be available for after-hours service, also available for emergency calls on weekends.
  • May be required to participate in shift scheduling and reasonable travel.
  • Serve as a mentor to developing imaging and technical team members.
  • Service manage original equipment manufacturer-mandated equipment updates/upgrades and satisfactorily complete the required recordings of all work performed in RENOVO’s CMMS.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • A.S. Degree in Biomedical or Electronics Technology or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the service and maintenance of medical imaging equipment with advanced emphasis on a specific modality equipment type(s).
  • Successful completion/credentialed thru either an accredited Independent Training Organization, Original Equipment Manufacturer or Military equivalent Basic Level I and Level II, Level III and Level IV Imaging Equipment Service Training Course(s). Specialization to an advanced imaging modality equipment type is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Required Work Hours

Forty hours per week during daytime and evening hours. Scheduled work hours may change. Overtime may be required or permitted with prior approval. This position is included in the on-call rotation for the facility.

  • Must be physically able to balance, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, reach, sit, squat, stand, twist, and walk.

  • Provide field updates to Assistant Superintendent & Superintendent on construction progress status, potential critical path issues and project needs.

The Field Engineer/Coordinator is expected to use their experience and judgment to make decisions within their limits of authority and with direction from the Project Manager.

This is a project-based position that may require extensive travel.

  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing. Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems, keeping all appropriate parties aware of issues or risks. Have a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have proficient computer skills including the use of the Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Surveying experience preferred.
  • Understand basic behavior-based safety programs and enforce company's safety policies.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training (provided if necessary).
  • Must meet travel expectations.
  • Must be able to perform shift work.
  • Must meet medical requirements of the job site (Hazardous waste).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline required.
  • Prefer one to three (1-3) years of heavy construction experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

    Job Summary

    Assists the Project Engineer with being the technical source of information for the project. Responds to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders and have responsibility for assisting in writing change orders, RFl's, meeting minutes, and reviewing Submittals. Maintains an effective and professional working relationship with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. This position includes three 'steps' (I, II and Senior), which provide for a progression of skill and experience. Step I is the entry level for individuals with a minimum of experience in this position. Step II is used for employees with 2 years of experience in this position, or with experience on larger and more complex projects. The 'Senior' step is used for employees with more than 4 years of experience and/or experience on significantly larger or more complex projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks and assists with or reviews and processes submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting. Ensures the timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval and ultimate disposition of meeting agendas, RFl's and daily reports.
    2. Demonstrates an understanding of the project management plan (PMP) and is involved in support and execution of the plan. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the change management process and performs project scope activities and supports the project team to ensure the work needed to complete the project successfully.
    3. Ensures the administration of the project quality management plan and demonstrates and reinforces a culture of safety throughout the project.
    4. May assist in the calculation of daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work. Participates in risk management including identification, analysis, response planning and monitoring and control on a project and demonstrates competency in understanding the environmental control processes for the project and takes corrective actions when necessary.
    5. May be responsible for overseeing/managing the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordination between Subcontractors and Designers.
    6. May be responsible for the documentation and submittal for the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification of a building and for creating and updating Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
    7. May provide lines, grades and layout as required for the project while maintaining an organized log book.
    8. May provide the following weekly quantities: maintains accurate quantity logs and reports quantities in compliance with the cost control manual. Completed logs are to be filed with the project files. Perform elements of the processes involved in budgeting and controlling costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget. Demonstrates business acumen within area of responsibility. (Not all Field Engineers track quantities)
    9. Provides support to superintendents required for the execution of the work and assists in the resolution of field problems as necessary.

    Minimum Job Requirements

    1. Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others is essential.
    2. Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
    3. Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) proficiency.
