Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Process Engineer Supervisor is responsible for leading the team of engineers who maintain and develop the sequence of assembly and operations standards in the Assembly Department at our East Liberty Auto Plant. Process Engineer is responsible for assembly process development and determining the sequence of assembly for spec parts based upon existing process/parts lay out/ST and/or the maintenance and optimization of established process to achieve the SQCDM metrics.
Key Accountabilities
- Continuous development of self, colleagues, and team through training and mentoring to proactively improve areas of technical expertise for personal and team growth.
- Lead and/or support collaborative development and problem-solving utilizing manufacturing solutions with existing and new technology.
- Lead/support process development and maturation to achieve project targets.
- Build process expertise to represent the department through communication to management.
- Link to department initiatives in the area of technical expertise; (business plan, investment, FSI, Monozukuri, and Global Mother).
- Understand/manage T-Stage (Trail stage) or mass production design change impact to process design.
- Develop and maintain accuracy of systems required to support production. (Operation Standards, parts, PDDA, time standards, delivery locations, part flows, layouts….etc)
- Design and improve process efficiency for maximum manpower utilization to establish direct process coverage (DPC).
- Develop department sourcing strategies to optimize cost effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments, factories or experts for development and improvements as well as impact to the department (Packaging, Purchasing, APQ, QIC, New Model, Equipment, Safety, Quality… etc.)
- Strive for continuous improvement through cycling PDCA for area of responsibility to ensure associate success.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Robotics); or 8 years equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience.
- 2 years mass production assembly experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of: Process Data Development and Analysis (PDDA); process engineering (MOST); parts numbers, BOM, and applications; Assembly (AF) quality control systems and specification; Assembly (AF) techniques and processes; New model project development; quality control systems and work flows; Assembly (AF) department layout and equipment.
- Skill in: Utilizing 2D and 3D drafting utilities - CATIA; analytical problem solving and decision making; project management.
- Ability to: Respond effectively to unusual demands and special projects; work and communicate effectively in a team environment; clearly and concisely document thoughts, ideas, requirements, and problems.
Workstyle
- Approx. 5 to 8 hours per workweek or as based on need.

The Manufacturing Process Engineering, Sr. Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for a team of engineers within our Chaska Reagent Operations facility. The site manufactures highly technical consumables that are essential to patient diagnosis and Beckman Coulter Diagnostics products, and this role is crucial to delivering high-quality solutions for our customers. **Job Title: Process Engineering Technician** **Department: Engineering**
**Reports to: Quality Engineer**
**Pay Rate: $17.50-$1.30**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Problem solve and optimize processes in machining, assembly, pack and freight processes
+ Assist Engineers with designing, running, testing and upgrading existing and new production processes
+ Develop and maintain all process documentation (i.e. routings, standard work, work instructions, setup sheets, time studies etc.) to ensure accuracy.
+ Analyze proposed changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility
+ Confers with vendors to determine specifications of products, arrange equipment, and purchase material and parts.
+ Gathers, and maintains specific records of technical data such as tests and drawings, performs computations, plots data to support data
+ Create part drawings, tooling drawings and fixturing
+ Ensure engineering solutions meet requirements for safety, cost, time, and quality
+ Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
+ Manage multiple projects / assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
+ Partners with all functional groups (maintenance, operations, quality, materials, purchasing, accounting, etc.) to create a successful work environment that thrives on collaboration, process creation and adherence
+ Attend training opportunities deemed necessary by management
+ Gain knowledge in structured problem-solving approach, including but not limited to A3, 9-step, & 8-D.
+ Gain understanding of Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, Design of Experiments
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
+ Required to have some knowledge of science or engineering: generally, two years of technical school, two years of college toward a Bachelor of Science degree, or related technical training (e.g., military/trade school)
+ Mechanical and process design expertise in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong critical thinking skills including using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and in independent situations, while maintaining strong work relationships
+ Solid written and verbal communication as well as conflict resolution skills
+ Organized and attentive to detail
+ Desire to work hands on with projects and equipment
+ Ability to assess risks/issues and make decisions, acting with a sense of urgency
+ Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
+ Ability to read, interpret, and perform from various documents, including method sheets, assembly drawings, production reports, safety rules, blueprints, printed shop schedules, Kanban cards/boards, operating maintenance instruction and procedure manuals, etc.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Proficient in Creo, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite (excel, project, word, power point)
+ Knowledge in robot, CNC and/or PLC programming is a plus
**Physical Demands:**
+ **Manual Dexterity:** Ability to handle material and parts.
+ **Repetitive Motion:** Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.
+ **Standing Duration:** Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
+ **Lifting Requirements:** Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
+ **Environmental Exposure:** Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
**Compensation:** This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
+ The expected Base Hourly Range: 17.50- 31.30. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Our Engineering Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment. What you’ll do:
Manufacturing & Process Engineering:
- Focus on the optimization of manufacturing processes.

productive work to improve their ability to transition from school to work. Southwire provides interns and co-ops with

after graduation. Each student will have a variety of responsibilities and assigned projects that relate to their field of
study and be responsible for developing a timeline, progress updates, and final delivery in a senior leadership expo.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research, analyze data, and present findings to support engineering projects and process improvements.
- Assist with the design, development, and testing of new or modified equipment, components, and systems.
- Support data collection and analysis for root cause investigations, failure analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in updating and creating engineering documentation, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams.
