HII-Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Data Engineering Team in support of the Department of Defense (DoD). This role is ideal for an experienced system administrator who wants to expand skills in cloud engineering, with a focus on supporting data engineering workflows. This person will work regular U.S. Eastern business hours remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and security—ensure Business Intelligence solution, virtual workspaces (VDI and Azure Virtual Desktop), and other mission-critical systems and applications are operational during business hours.
• Identify issues related to software or systems, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to ensure seamless operation for the team.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux)—apply patches/updates and implement security controls.
• Coordinate data acquisition via SFTP or API calls from remote systems, and maintain working relationships with data source staff.
• Provide technical support to internal users.
• Document system configurations and operating procedures.
• Support and administer ETL processes moving acquired data into a data warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications
