An international bank is looking for a VMware Engineer to join their Technology Infrastructure and Engineering group for a contract to hire assignment. The role would be focused on engineering and operating a Hyperconverged VMware stack running on VXRails. Long term, this role would help transition VMware infrastructure to Azure Cloud alongside the existing Cloud team. Any Scripting (PowerShell/Python) experience is nice to have. This resource can be local to the NYC, Miami or LA area and will work in a hybrid onsite model (twice a week).

Skills and Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a VMware Engineer with Best Practice deployment for scale and reliability
- Strong experience with VMware operation support, networking operational support, hyperconverged storage operational support and operational monitoring with 3rd party tool
- Experience troubleshooting network, VMware, and driver/firmware issues
- Excellent understanding of all round networking and firewall principles - Python/PowerShell scripting/automation capability
- Azure Cloud foundational understanding

**Responsibilities for VMware Engineer:**
+ Supports virtualization-based O&M tasking of deployed operational Infrastructure solutions backed by Citrix, Microsoft, NetApp, Nutanix, Veeam, and VMware

**Desired Qualifications for VMware Engineer:**

+ Strongly desired to hold advanced certifications in a technical area, such as CCNA, NCAP, CISSP, VCP, NCDA, CCA, RHCSA, Azure Fundamentals, or similar

The pay range for this position is $79,601 - $145,100 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. The pay range for this position is $79,601 - $145,100 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. **The Role at a Glance**
This position will function as a technology leader in the VMware engineering, delivery, and operations across the enterprise. You will design, implement, and support the underlying server compute hardware, software and configuration of the VMware hypervisor. VMware virtualization, VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware Aria. The position will provide engineering, delivery and operational needs for the underlying hyperconverged infrastructure.
You will partner across application, enterprise architecture, infrastructure and security teams in the planning and delivery of all compute configurations and advancements to support increased infrastructure hyper-convergence, virtualization, and automation. You are an expert from a functional perspective with hands-on experience and a non-biased view of technology choices. You will be involved at the inception of a project, responsible for design creation and lifecycle management of server compute solutions. Additionally, you will support Managed Service Provider, Vendor/Manufacturer and Professional Services engagements and escalations.
**What you'll be doing**
+ Provide technical skill and experience to configure, manage and maintain enterprise server virtualized environment. Deliver and support infrastructure automation, "infrastructure as code", using tools such as VMware Aria Automation and Aria Automation Orchestrator other scripting languages as appropriate.
+ Provide technical skill and experience to configure, manage and maintain server compute configuration standardization and benchmarking against industry standards and tools including CIS Benchmark or similar.Provide Tier III proactive monitoring/ execution, maintenance, and changes of internal and customer facing compute infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting computer hardware, software, configuration and services. Deliver support and assistance with Application Performance issues and drive to resolution completely and accurately documenting all work activity in the organizations problem tracking system.
+ Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
+ Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.

**What we're looking for**
