Marriott is seeking a Technical Lead for the Marriott Hotel Website (HWS) team. This role extends beyond React/NextJS Frontend development and involves comprehensive technical leadership. **Job Description and Responsibilities:**
· Lead the development and enhancement of React/NextJS components ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.
· Integrate React/NextJS components with AEM components and various downstream data sources and APIs, facilitating seamless data flow and functionality.
· Design, implement, and maintain multi-locale and multi-lingual websites, ensuring a consistent user experience across different regions and languages.
· Experience with automation scripting and AI-driven code generation for scalable development.
· Optimize Couchbase, CDN caching and other caching mechanisms to improve website performance and load times.
· Demonstrate understanding of content management concepts, ensuring efficient content management and delivery.
· Oversee release management and code deployment through branching strategies, ensuring smooth and error-free deployments.
· Develop multi-themed brand websites to support various Marriott brands, maintaining brand consistency and uniqueness.
· Lead headless and omni-channel component development, enabling flexible and dynamic content delivery across multiple platforms.
· Experience with translation tools integration with content management to optimize content delivery for diverse audiences.
· Utilize GraphQL for data querying and integration, enhancing data accessibility and manipulation.
· Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to deliver comprehensive solutions.

**Qualifications**
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
· 7+ years of professional experience in React/NextJS development.
· Strong fundamentals in data modeling and database normalization
· Strong proficiency in Java and supporting Java frameworks like spring boot. (preferred)
· Solid understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
· Knowledge of NGINX web servers and routing configurations.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills.
· Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, et al.
· Proven ability to work in an Agile development environment.

Summary Objective: This role is responsible for website management, analytics reporting, and leveraging technology to grow and enhance our digital presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee website content, functionality, and user experience, ensuring integrity of site architecture and accuracy of information.
  • Evaluate key metrics and KPIs to assess user behavior, engagement, and conversions using Google Analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders regularly to review insights and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Assist with ongoing usability testing efforts to identify user experience issues and inform design and content improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with the internal team and marketing partners to & develop, support, and implement digital marketing strategies.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, present concepts, and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple web requests, project priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure content accuracy, technical reliability, and adherence to design standards.
  • Monitor and validate automation workflows across connected platforms to ensure they function correctly and support website operations.
  • Stay current on evolving trends in web design and digital automation practices.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative tools and automation solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, user engagement, and overall digital strategy.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Creative problem-solver with high attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Required Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in website management and front-end development.
  • Strong understanding of the Hubspot marketing platform with module development and reporting experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with project management.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and responsive design.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and reporting tools like Google Looker Studio.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • SEO principles and optimization best practices.
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code tools and automation platforms (preferred but not required).
