Job Description
To really help the women who come to us it is critical to listen to them, to get to know them, to understand their immediate needs as well as their goals and dreams. Nearly all of them want to be good mothers. They just need a little help and encouragement. All our volunteers mentor these women in some way, by what we say and do - how we interact with them - though not all volunteers meet one-on-one with our clients. Our goal is to become friends with these women - to understand both their strengths and weaknesses - so we can help them honestly think through their feelings and options - and make the best decisions for them and their babies.
