We are looking for a new Medical Director who can do MH, addictions and primary care. Needs to be board certified preferably with a Florida Medicaid number. Must have experience with Mental Health inpatient and outpatient and be able to prescribe medication assisted treatment (Vivitrol) for addictions. Salaried with benefitsit is covering inpatient M-F half days and outpatient half days with 8 hours admin time.
This position is combined as a :Medical Director/attending psychiatrist.
Serve as a clinical advisor for Primary Health
All duties of attending physician regarding direct care in outpatient, inpatient, detox and contracted services are included in this position description
Allocate and supervise psychiatric care within all Clinic services
Assume the responsibility of and accountability for overseeing all medical activities within the Clinic
Psychiatric coverage for the Crisis Stabilization/Detox unit as well as Outpatient services
Assure that medical/ psychiatric services provided meet prevailing professional standards, Federal, State and CARF regulations
Maintain clinical records in compliance with CARF, Licensing, Medicaid, Medicare standards and Guidance/Care Center policies and procedures
Must be Board eligible or certified as a Psychiatrist
Must be licensed in the State of Florida
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Must be able to pass criminal background clearance and drug screening
Effective interpersonal skill
Board specialized certification in addictions, child psychiatry or geriatrics preferred.
Experience:
o Three years of post training experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of credit union policies and procedures and regulatory and compliance requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of credit union products and services.

Talkiatry is led clinically by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist with an additional board-certification in addiction medicine.
At Talkiatry, that means our psychiatrists are in control of their practice. Our support staff focuses on removing administrative duties, enabling you to spend more of your time on patient care. It also means providing flexibility in where and when you practice medicine. Our psychiatrists also enjoy control over their hours and schedule.
We provide in-network, outpatient treatment for children and adults with depressive, anxiety, attention, and other disorders. Talkiatry does not provide intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization programs. We believe that solving the accessibility issues in mental health care begins with taking care of our doctors. We provide solutions to the challenges that psychiatrists are facing - from a lack of front and back-office infrastructure and support in private practice settings to being overworked and underpaid by hospitals, clinics, and other institutions.
