Fast paced Piscataway, NJ based IT Consulting/Investment Company with expanding Real Estate portfolio is seeking a highly organized and efficient Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of the legal process, from case preparation to trial. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting documents, organizing files, and managing case-related information. The Paralegal will also be responsible for communicating with clients, scheduling meetings, and maintaining detailed records. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of legal terminology, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Prior experience in a law firm or legal setting is preferred. This is also an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in commercial and residential real estate acquisitions. The Paralegal will report to the President of the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting legal research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy in legal documents.
- Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
- ssisting in the preparation of legal arguments and claims.
- Conducting investigations and statistical and documentary research.
- Preparing and filing documents with courts.
- Summarizing cases and preparing reports
- Preparation, editing, or review of general correspondence, trust letters, commercial lease agreements, mortgage related documents, statements of adjustment, purchase and sale contracts, employment and service contracts, letters of intent, assignment leases, property or survey reports, legal documents, correspondence and pleadings as needed
- Coordinating, organizing, and scheduling closings with all parties in transactions, including the buyer, sellers, title insurance company, opposing counsel, and lender on an as needed basis
- ssisting in preparation of transfers/affidavits of transferees, closing documents, closing reports, and accounts
- Conducting public record searches of parties, judgments, tax liens, and UCC filings as needed
- Obtaining closing figures from banks and prorate amounts for real and property taxes, utilities, rent, and settlement charges
- ssisting in obtaining loan payoff letters
- Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system
- Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to talk about case details
- ssisting Counsel in filing pleadings with court clerk and helping Counsel prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, conducting legal research, and assisting with other tasks as needed.
- ssociate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or related field
- t least three (3) years of relevant paralegal experience, commercial real estate a plus
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software

Key Responsibilities
