Duties and Responsibilities

• Your primary responsibility is to represent Roof One with the highest degree of professionalism, punctuality, and integrity while providing our customers with respect, honesty, and the highest level of customer service.
• Perform necessary repairs for homeowners as described in the scope of work. Scope of work can include, but is not limited to roofing, gutters, and siding.
• Be the main point of contact for the customer during the project.
• Estimate materials and labor required to complete projects.
• Communicate with homeowners before, during, and after projects.
• Be on call for after-hours emergency calls if on rotation.
• Prepare and collect invoices once the job is complete.
• Look for other necessary repairs, i.e., gutters, windows, etc.
• Follow all safety procedures.

• Lead daily field operations for civil construction projects (roadways, utilities, sitework, etc.)
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment to meet schedule and budget goals
• Monitor work for quality, safety, and compliance with plans/specifications
• Maintain strong communication with project managers, clients, and inspectors
• Track production quantities, prepare daily reports, and address field challenges quickly
• Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA and company safety policies

• 5+ years of superintendent or foreman experience in heavy civil construction
• Strong knowledge of sitework, earthwork, paving, and utility installation
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple crews
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• OSHA 30 certification preferred

Job Summary:

We are looking for utility construction laborers to join our team! As a utility construction laborer, you would be responsible for helping assist the foreman and team with installing and replacing underground utilities.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in a utility installation work environment that requires the use of basic hand tools. These tasks include but are not limited to:

o Digging/trimming trenches and ditches, backfilling of trenches

o Building/cleaning of manholes

o Replacing concrete, installation and removal of pipe, cleaning of pipes, setting of poles

o Installing and removal of conduit and cable, splicing cable

o All work associated with demolition

· Reading and interpreting plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities

· Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

· Driving various vehicles to job sites, traffic control and flagging

· Utilize hand tools to dig near existing underground utilities

· Assisting the line up crew as well as the welders

· Assisting in repair, maintenance, construction, of gas distribution pipelines

Requirements:

· Valid Driver’s License (CDL )

· Satisfactory driving record (MVR check will be conducted prior to hire)

· Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations

· Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening

· Ability to be a team player

· Dedicated, hard-working and goal focused

· Willing to work overtime and weekends, and work in all weather conditions

· Ability to lift, squat, and stand for long periods of time

Compensation:

· Compensation follows the union scale, currently a total taxable rate of $28.41/hour ($4.41/hour base pay and 4.00/hour vacation pay).

Job Title: Construction General Laborer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Construction General Laborer, where you will work alongside duct or kitchen cleaning crews, assisting crew leaders in various clean-up tasks. You will utilize different methods and equipment to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of commercial facilities, hospitals, and industrial buildings. While most cleaning tasks are performed outside vents, there may be occasions where you will need to navigate tight spaces. Your day will start at our shop in Warren, and you will travel to various sites to complete your assignments. Overnight travel is occasionally required and will be compensated.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew leaders in clean-up tasks using various methods and equipment.

• Travel to different commercial facilities, hospitals, and industrial buildings for cleaning assignments.

• Perform cleaning tasks outside of vents, occasionally navigating tight spaces.

• Meet at the shop in Warren daily and travel to different sites.

• Participate in overnight travel when required.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of general labor experience.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working on flat rooftops and in smaller spaces.

• Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts with a changing weekly schedule.

• Mechanical aptitude with basic hand tools.

• Valid driver's license or state ID.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in air duct or kitchen exhaust fan cleaning.

• Proficiency with vacuums and power washers.

• Leadership experience or potential to lead crews.
