- Assist with tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and resolving discrepancies.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls over tax processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary tax information and provide tax support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax function.
- Review general ledger accounts for accuracy and ensure proper tax treatment.
- Train and mentor junior tax staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate tax accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess Tax, ProSystem fx Tax) and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with tax provision calculations is a plus.
