Ready to help shape the future of entertainment content? We’re looking for a talented and proactive Content Editor to join our growing team. You’ll work directly with some of the biggest names in the streaming industry, helping us continue the exciting trajectory of our copywriting work. As the Content Editor, you’ll work with the Creative Director and Lead Copywriter to deliver high-quality copy for our streaming and entertainment clients, as well as our internal marketing needs. You’ll spend the majority of your time overseeing English synopsis copy creation for one of the streaming and entertainment industry’s most well-known brands. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the work of our freelance copywriters and editors adheres to quality and brand standards, providing actionable feedback and training to ensure their continuous improvement. 

You’ll write and edit excellent copy for our other clients, as well as internal marketing content, so the ability to multitask, jump between different tones and styles, and work quickly without sacrificing quality is essential.

This is a six-month, full-time contract role. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time, and be in our Denver office 2-3 days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write, edit, and proofread engaging English copy for client projects and internal marketing efforts, including show/movie synopses, blog posts, social media, web copy, and downloadable assets. 

  • Ensure that all copy is clear, engaging, and strategically crafted to resonate with the target audience. Adapt tone, style, and messaging as needed.

  • Work closely with the Creative Director and Lead Copywriter to oversee the quality of copy produced by in-market copywriters and editors. Review and refine content as needed to maintain quality, consistency, and brand alignment.

  • Collaborate with in-house and client teams to provide strategic support across all copywriting and transcreation projects, including briefing, quoting, resource recommendations, and quality control. 

  • Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of Wordbank’s and clients’ TOV and editorial guidelines, as well as the AP style guide, and hold yourself and colleagues accountable to them.

  • Provide detailed feedback to ensure accuracy, clarity, and effectiveness, while upholding the intended tone of voice and messaging strategy. Seek out and respond to feedback on your own work.

  • Provide regional leadership (UCAN) on copywriting and editing projects, working with global colleagues to ensure copy is universal while following US spelling and style norms.

  • Contribute and present creative and strategic insights to strengthen overall campaign effectiveness and support clients in achieving their business goals. 

  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, juggling different styles and tones of voice while maintaining accurate, high-quality, on-time deliveries.

  • Proactively implement AI tools in your day-to-day workflow to support speed and scale, while ensuring that the output quality remains high.

  • Use JIRA, Monday, and clients’ tools to track copy projects through the various stages of the workflow.



EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Position Overview

The Content Manager/Editor will oversee, curate, and manage our multimedia content across various digital channels, including social media, YouTube, paid advertising, and sponsor content. They will ensure that all content aligns with our brands tone and objectives, using tools like VidIQ to enhance YouTube performance and maintain an organized content repository. This role will collaborate closely with the Social Media Coordinator to ensure seamless, engaging content delivery across platforms.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement a comprehensive content strategy to support marketing objectives, brand consistency, and audience engagement across all digital platforms.
  2. Manage and categorize multimedia assets (e.g., performer 360 GoPro footage, professional B-roll, iPhone captures, and DVIDS content) within a centralized system (e.g., Dropbox), enabling easy access and reuse.
  3. Perform basic edits for social media posts, ensuring a fresh, engaging mix of content. Develop new ideas for paid promotional content to maximize audience impact.
  4. Utilize tools like VidIQ to optimize titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for YouTube, aiming to increase viewership and channel engagement.
  5. Ensure all content aligns with the Air Dot Shows brand tone and style guidelines. Regularly collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator to maintain a cohesive voice and visual appeal.
  6. Act as the main content point of contact, coordinating with photographers, videographers, and editors to streamline content flow and provide direction as needed.
  7. Coordinate with sponsors to capture content during air shows, ensuring their brand is showcased in a positive and compelling light.
Qualifications
  1. A minimum of three (3) years experience as a Content Manager/Editor or similar role.
  2. Proficiency with video optimization tools (e.g., VidIQ) and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Canva).
  3. Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage and catalog multimedia assets effectively.
  4. Creative thinker with the ability to generate engaging content.
  5. Familiarity with graphic design is a plus.

Qualifications


  • 4+ years of professional editing experience in an agency, studio, or production environment.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro. A strong understanding of After Effects, Photoshop, and other related programs is a plus.
  • Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition across various content formats.
  • Experience editing short-form and long-form content across social, digital, and commercial platforms.
  • Ability to creatively manipulate footage, integrate motion graphics, and enhance edits through color and sound design.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working closely with directors, designers, and strategists to refine creative execution.
