Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Additional Details:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oncology Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients diagnosed with various cancers, including endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
Our unit specializes in providing treatments such as chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, and CBI, with a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls management.
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)/Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
Block Schedules: No
Weekends are variable based on unit needs.
The first week of orientation is Monday to Friday dayshift. The second week consists of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.
If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
RTO required with submission, must be built into contract
Oncology experience preferred but not required
Proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, with the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and provide appropriate interventions.
Experience in oncology-specific procedures such as chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy.
Staffing ratios aim for 1:4, but may be adjusted to 1:5 based on unit needs.
Float Required: Yes - to other MedSurg Oncology units
