POSITION SUMMARY:

The Merchant is a category-specific merchant role responsible for all aspects of category planning and execution to achieve company goals. This positions goals include category strategy and growth planning, product assortment selection, product development, vendor negotiations, promotions and advertisements, sales and inventory data review. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Works with Divisional Merchandise Manager to develop and execute all aspects of category strategic planning.

  • Works cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics and others to achieve category goals.
  • Organizes and directs review of assortment performance and review of competitive pricing.
  • Oversees vendor pricing and program negotiations.
  • Works with vendors to select the right assortment of products for all channels of business (Retail Stores, Internet, Catalog, B2B).
  • Manages product specifications, works with Product Development team for sourcing, forecasting, etc.
  • Organizes and directs marketing plans for Proprietary branded products, working with Marketing, Photography, and other teams to execute strategy.
  • Reviews Sales and Inventory Data to help identify trends, optimize customer service levels, and maximize inventory productivity.
  • Reviews Sales and Inventory Data to identify slow-moving inventory, overstocks and more.
  • Responsible for financial planning process, monitoring customer reviews and quality issues, etc.
  • Oversees all product information submission to Internet production team.
  • Identifies market trends and develops product and price structure for products within Bass Pro Shops Proprietary Brands.
  • Develops and selects items for promotional activity (Retail Flyers, Catalogs, Digital Promotions and more).

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred Degree: BS Degree in Business or related field

What You'll Do as a Hunt Guide

We're thrilled to welcome a seasonal or part time Hunt Guide into our Wheaton Creek Ranch community!

As a very experienced Hunt Guide, you will be responsible for leading clients on hunts for big Western game, including elk, mule deer, and turkey periodically during our hunting seasons, running September through January. Beyond your excellent hunting and harvesting skills, you will also provide exceptional customer experience, acting as an educator and ensuring each client leaves a better hunter - regardless of the outcome of the hunt. In this role, you'll also be asked to support other guides and other aspects of the ranch, including assisting with meal prep and guest services.

As a seasonal employee, you'll be provided with quality housing and meals during hunts you are guiding for or assisting with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hunting Guide Services: Create fulfilling experiences in leading hunt adventures, providing guidance, instruction, and support to guests, while prioritizing safety, ethical hunting practices, and adherence to regulations.
  • Guest Services: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring their comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout their stay at the ranch.
  • Educate and Inspire: Take every opportunity to teach guests better hunting skills, firearm safety, tracking, navigation, wilderness survival, conservation principles fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural world.

Who You Are
  • You're an experienced hunt guide, ideally with five+ years of experience guiding elk, mule deer, and turkey. You have extensive knowledge of western big game, including elk, mule, deer, bear, and turkey, including using game calls. You have extensive experience in harvesting animals.
  • You're an outdoor educator and enthusiast. You ensure each client leaves a better, more informed hunter - regardless of the outcome of the hunt.
  • You have experience with archery hunting, muzzleloaders, and modern firearms equipment. You practice the safe handling of firearms.
  • You're able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Work with the Cyber Threat Intelligence team to report significant findings of importance to leadership as well as coordinate with asset owners to deconflict findings. Lead the Cyber Threat Hunt team to propose corrective actions and inform the necessary parties of security issues, reportable offenses, or cybersecurity best practices. Assist Cyber Threat Hunt (CTH) with prioritizing cyber threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), based on recent and relevant threat intelligence reporting. Provide Cyber Threat Hunting support. This support includes threat modeling, proactively searching for malicious activity, developing risk analysis reports, creating formalized reports to inform stakeholders and situational awareness. Assist with development of SOPs, playbooks, work instructions, and other procedures and processes to mature Threat Hunt capabilities. Assist with preparation of hunt missions by analyzing data / information, consolidating Threat Intelligence, and identifying production requirements. Proactively and iteratively conduct threat hunting efforts against networks, systems, and high value assets to detect and isolate advanced threats that evade automated security systems (i.e., EDR, IDS, AV).

SKILLS

  • A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience with experience in the last two (2) years that includes network-based security monitoring using cybersecurity capabilities.

  • Possess a strong cyber security background with experience in: host and network-based forensics related to the identification of advanced cyber threat activities, intrusion detection, malware identification, and security content development (e.g., signatures, rules, etc.)

  • Experience interpreting scripts to support cyber threat detection in a variety of formats, such as VB scripts, Python, C++, and HTML, XML or other types needed for analysis.

  • Experience in conducting cyber threat hunt analysis, utilizing cyber threat intelligence to identify and prioritize tactics, techniques, and procedures to hunt against.

  • Deep knowledge of capabilities and experience with security information and event management (SIEM) and networked-device management tools such as Splunk and Tanium.

  • Experience in maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including identifying and analyzing cyber threats actors and activities to enhance cybersecurity posture of the organization's IT operating environment.

  • Experience with cloud- based security technologies, architecture, and computing and searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated big data is preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clearance requirement: Top Secret (SCI eligible)

  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Tier III senior cyber threat hunt analyst performing threat analysis, technical analysis, and network asset traversal.

**ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
Work with the Cyber Threat Intelligence team to report significant findings of importance to leadership as well as coordinate with asset owners to deconflict findings. Lead the Cyber Threat Hunt team to propose corrective actions and inform the necessary parties of security issues, reportable offenses, or cybersecurity best practices. Assist Cyber Threat Hunt (CTH) with prioritizing cyber threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), based on recent and relevant threat intelligence reporting. Provide Cyber Threat Hunting support. This support includes threat modeling, proactively searching for malicious activity, developing risk analysis reports, creating formalized reports to inform stakeholders and situational awareness. Assist with development of SOPs, playbooks, work instructions, and other procedures and processes to mature Threat Hunt capabilities. Assist with preparation of hunt missions by analyzing data / information, consolidating Threat Intelligence, and identifying production requirements. Proactively and iteratively conduct threat hunting efforts against networks, systems, and high value assets to detect and isolate advanced threats that evade automated security systems (i.e., EDR, IDS, AV).
**SKILLS**
+ A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience with experience in the last two (2) years that includes network-based security monitoring using cybersecurity capabilities.
+ Possess a strong cyber security background with experience in: host and network-based forensics related to the identification of advanced cyber threat activities, intrusion detection, malware identification, and security content development (e.g., signatures, rules, etc.)
+ Experience interpreting scripts to support cyber threat detection in a variety of formats, such as VB scripts, Python, C++, and HTML, XML or other types needed for analysis.
+ Experience in conducting cyber threat hunt analysis, utilizing cyber threat intelligence to identify and prioritize tactics, techniques, and procedures to hunt against.
+ Deep knowledge of capabilities and experience with security information and event management (SIEM) and networked-device management tools such as Splunk and Tanium.
+ Experience in maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including identifying and analyzing cyber threats actors and activities to enhance cybersecurity posture of the organization's IT operating environment.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

Leidos is seeking an experienced Cyber Threat Hunt Analyst to join our team. As a member of this highly technical Cyber Threat Hunt team supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), you will be responsible for in-depth technical analysis of network and endpoint logs & activity, executing various types of cyber threat hunts on various agency assets, escalating findings as deemed appropriate, and authoring technical reports summarizing operations and findings in support of the protection of the customers' systems, networks, and assets.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Will conduct cyber threat analysis, identifying mitigation and/or remediation courses of action; developing actionable intelligence used to protect organizational IT assets; and trending cyber threat metrics for leadership situational awareness.
+ Utilize Threat Intelligence and Threat Models to create threat hypotheses for threat hunts.
+ Identify, track, and investigate high priority threat campaigns, malicious actors with the interest, capability and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
+ Utilize Cyber Threat Intelligence to execute ad hoc threat hunts on agency assets, networks, and systems to identify threat activity that may evade endpoint detection tools.
+ Utilize the MITRE ATT&CK framework to understand TTPs of adversaries, threat actors, APTs, and threats targeting the customer agency and organize threat hunts around ATT&CK techniques and sub-techniques.
+ Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including identifying and analyzing cyber threats actors and/or activities to enhance cybersecurity posture of the organization's IT operating environment.
+ Prepare and report risk analysis and threat findings to appropriate stakeholders.
+ Create, recommend, and assist with development of new security content as the result of hunt missions to include signatures, alerts, workflows, and automation.
+ Coordinate with different teams to improve threat detection, response, and improve overall security posture of the Enterprise.
+ Plan, scope, and execute Threat Hunt Missions to verify threat hypotheses, deconflict findings, and escalate as necessary.
+ Proactively and iteratively search through systems and networks to detect advanced threats.
+ Analyze host, network, and application logs in addition to malware and code.
+ Will be responsible for developing scripts to support cyber threat detection that outputs results in a variety of formats, such as VB scripts, Python, C++, HTML, XML or other type most appropriate for the task.
+ Produce high quality technical and non-technical products, briefings, whitepapers, etc., with minimal supervision and emphasis on effective/accurate reporting on product topics.
+ Maintain the daily battle rhythm for the Cyber Threat Hunt team with an emphasis on adherence to deadlines, attention to detail, and clear/concise communication with the customer and stakeholders.
Will be responsible for:
+ Implementing defined procedures for remediation or make an informed decision to escalate.
+ Maintain the daily battle rhythm of threat hunts and Cyber Threat Hunt reporting.
+ Author technical and non-technical reports and briefings to ensure leadership awareness of findings and observations.
+ Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports and metrics for products and briefings.
+ Process technical data from various sources and fuse the data with intelligence reporting to improve the security posture of the customer, as well as manage Threat Hunt tools.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Possess a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics.
+ Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field with three (3) years of experience in incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics.
+ Have 2+ years recent experience with host-based and network-based security monitoring using cybersecurity capabilities.
+ Must be experienced developing scripts to support cyber threat detection that outputs results in a variety of formats, such as VB scripts, Python, C++, HTML, XML or other.
+ Established experience with incident response and SIEM tools, host-based logs, network-based logs, and regex.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated.
+ Must be a US Citizen.
