What we are looking for:

As a Lead Project Manager at ALCON DTS, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from conception through to completion. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, risk assessment, and ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed expectations. You will coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.

This position will work primarily in our Austin, TX office and requires occasional travel to client sites. Non-local candidates will not be considered for this role.

• Three (3) or more years of Sales in project management, or clear knowledge of the products ALCON DTS provides.

• Data entry and understanding the information needed from a client, familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management software is a plus.
• Work with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Work with Adobe Acrobat Software.
• Work with internal systems such as Autotask for customer data entry and similar tools for understanding projects.
• Learn and understand services and hardware sold as well as installation processes used by our technician staff.
• Visit worksites to meet and greet with clients as well as to better understand operational needs for the project.

Position Overview

The Lead Project Engineer (PE) oversees all technical aspects of Synapse product implementation, from solution validation phases through product go-live. Lead PE's must have expert level knowledge in all areas of medical informatics, IT infrastructure design and deployment, medical imaging industry in general and clinical environment workflow. In addition to technical expertise, HCUS relies on Lead PE's to deliver industry leading customer satisfaction, requiring excellent communication and verbal skills within project teams and externally with customers.

The person must be adept to working in highly dynamic multi-vendor environment and stay up-to- date on healthcare and general IT trends, best practices, regulations, and a wide range of hardware and software products.

This position requires interaction with sales, technical support, field service, the end user, outside vendors and all other service and administrative groups within Fujifilm involved in the order through remittance process. Must develop relationships and communication channels to ensure status feedback and cooperation with shareholders

Responsible to act as the single point of contact between Engineering and Integration for new products, software changes including testing, and new information dissemination. Responsible in maintaining existing written documentation, periodic review, and Intranet postings.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with MI Project Management (PM) team to deliver high quality Synapse product solutions.

• Act as primary technical resource for MI Implementation projects across Synapse product lines.

• Perform expert level deployment of third-party hardware and software infrastructure:

• vSphere products: ESXi, vRealize, SRM.

• Storage: FC infrastructure, disk array design, setup, and deployment, storage protocols: FC, NFS, CIFS, DAS.

• NAS or Tape media.

• Plan and deploy all Synapse MI software solutions in enterprise level environments.

• Perform enterprise level custom projects:

• Infrastructure hardware refreshes.

• Data migrations.

• General architecture changes and/or redeployment.

• Integrate Synapse MI products with all third-party healthcare IT systems, e.g. dictation, EMR, Citrix, RIS.

• Adhere to rigorous internal project communication guidelines using tools provided.

• Extensive documentation development:

• Customer specific solution design documentation.

• Best practice documentation.

• Learn new Synapse and third-party products as they are released, often with limited training.

• Participate in Subject Matter Expert (SME) program.

• Participate in non-project related activities, such as presenting material at team meetings or working with cross-functional teams on internal projects.

• Mentor, train, and actively participate in knowledge transfer to peers.

• Must be able to work independently as the lead project technical resource.

• Deliver consistently high level of customer satisfaction.

• Adheres to the Company's quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Supervises the work of others as requested.

• Is regularly sought out for counsel and advice on technological, clinical, and application matters.

• Routinely takes part in identifying, testing, and developing new processes and technological improvements which improve upon our platforms or processes.

• Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications:

Lead technical professional experienced in designing, implementing, documenting, and executing complex technical projects. A person in this position is expected to possess an expert level understanding of Information Technologies and its utilization in a clinical environment. Emphasis is on the areas of Radiology, Cardiology, EIS and VNA services. Areas of expertise include but are not limited to internal and third-party product testing and validation, systems functionality and availability, business continuity and disaster recovery, business and academic needs, work and data flows, integration.

• Highschool Degree or equivalent required with the following experience requirements:

• 3 or more years on-the-job experience successfully deploying Synapse products.

• 5-10 years' experience in Healthcare Information Technology.

• 5-10 years full time experience working with Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems (2016/2019/2022/Windows 10/11) in a technical capacity.

• A well-developed analytical, leadership, project management, decision making, and oral and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies are required.

• Consistently proven ability to deliver Synapse MI solutions in demanding environments.

• Proven experience and success with enterprise solution deployments.

• Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge to peers and other associates.

• Demonstrated exceptional time management, negotiation, and prioritization skills.

• Expert level knowledge of PACS and Clinical Information Systems for Cardiology, Radiology, and related services including workflow.

• Expert level knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery implementation.

• Expert systems design, architecture, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting skills.

• Expert level knowledge in vSphere products - specifically ESXi and Site Recovery Manager. VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification recommended.

• Expert level knowledge in storage infrastructure design, deployment and troubleshooting.

• Expert knowledge of overall network design and security best practices.

• Expert working knowledge of clinical data transfer protocols and interfaces (DICOM, HL7, XML, etc.).

Physical Requirements:
