**Job Summary**
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of all hospital and/or health system operations. POSITION SUMMARY :

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Facility provides leadership and direction for the overall operation of the hospital and is responsible for planning directing and coordinating the development of short and long-range ob-jectives.

About NCCPC

The Northern California College Promise Coalition (NCCPC) is a regional effort that brings together leaders, practitioners, and resources to shape college success efforts across the region. Representing over 300,000 students across 13 counties, NCCPC is dedicated to systemic change that supports first-generation, low-income, and multiply marginalized and underrepresented students in achieving postsecondary success.

With strong momentum, a broad network, and the agility to scale, NCCPC is poised to expand its impact through its three key pillars: Policy, Partnerships, and Practice. NCCPC seeks a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced leader to build on the entrepreneurial foundation set by the incredible work of the outgoing Executive Director in collaboration with the Steering Committee and guide the coalition into Phase 3 for the coalition structuring for sustainability and growth.

Position Overview

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NCCPC will be entrusted with the strategic and operational leadership of the Coalition. Reporting to the Steering Committee and working closely with the Steering Committee Chair and Vice Chair, the CEO will lead the mission of NCCPC by providing direction, vision, and guidance to ensure the Coalition's continued impact and growth through its three key pillars: Policy, Partnerships, and Practice.

The next CEO will be a strategic generalist, energized by the challenge of scaling impact, fostering collaborative solutions and implementing actionable initiatives and programs. The right candidate will be a master partnership builder and collaborator; able to represent the coalitions work to stakeholders across government, industry, education, and aligned organizations. They will have demonstrated executive nonprofit leadership experience as a servant leader. They will have a proven track record in securing funding. Their ability to provide operational and financial leadership is essential, along with the resourcefulness to effectively develop and lead a lean, remote team.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Communications (40%)

  • Build and sustain relationships with at least 40 existing key relationships with foundations and philanthropists on behalf of the coalition to ensure funder continuity
  • Champion NCCPCs external relations and brand presence; develop new relationships to secure funding for the sustainability and growth of the Coalition, as well as the maintenance of a lean, permanent staff to execute critical infrastructure of NCCPC
  • Manage and monitor all grants and grantor relationships

Strategic Leadership and Vision (15%)

  • Drive the vision, mission, and core values of NCCPC, ensuring alignment across all initiatives
  • Develop annual goals, corresponding activities, indicators of success, and budget as part of the coalitions annual planning and budgeting cycle; Set the pace for NCCPCs work and exhibit decisiveness to achieve stated goals and achieve outcome-based deliverables that close equity gaps in education
  • Stay informed on current research, policies, activities, and trends related to the three key pillars
  • Periodically review, assess, and update the coalitions strategy and approach in collaboration with the Steering Committee

Operations (10%)

  • Set the tone for the experience of NCCPC employees; foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, trust, and shared leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing senior management team, guiding staff through transitions, supporting their professional development, and maintaining a focus on team sustainability
  • Oversee Coalitions financial management; budgets, financial stability, and growth; ensures NCCPC remains financially viable while adhering to its mission
  • Provide regular updates and briefings to the Steering Committee and Sub-Committees representing each of the three key pillars

Governance (15%)

  • Recruit, maintain, onboard, and offboard Steering Committee and Advisory Council members
  • In collaboration with the Steering Committee and Advisory Council, help shape scale, impact, policy, program, and fundraising strategies
  • Work with the Steering Committee to approve foundational documents like evaluation plans and bylaws, and goal-setting documents like policy agendas

Coalition Building & Community Outreach (10%)

  • Discover and serve the needs of the Coalition constituents through nurturing and maintaining relationships
  • Build the Coalition member base by recruiting, onboarding and engaging Promise programs that are not already affiliated with the Coalition and non-traditional Promise programs who support the vision and mission of the coalition
  • Develop and maintain critical external partnerships with policy makers, key stakeholders and the broader community who will support NCCPCs mission

Policy, Advocacy, and Partner Enablement (10%)

  • Represent the coalition in policy conversations, including informing policy priorities, actions, and engagements with advocacy organizations
  • Grow and sustain key partnerships and relationships with community-based organizations focused on post-secondary education and workforce development, advocacy and legislative groups, student-led groups, and other networks

Required Skills And Experience

  • Seasoned executive leader with a minimum of 15 years experience in nonprofit leadership; demonstrated oversight of an organization that has successfully leveraged its mission and scaled regionally or nationally
  • 10+ years of experience facilitating and organizing committees and network building for equity
  • 10+ years of fundraising and brand development experience, ideally including grant writing
  • 1+ years of policy advocacy or implementation experience, ideally with local or state legislation in CA
  • Dedicated to the mission of fostering post-secondary success among low-income, historically-disadvantaged populations. A background in a combination of college access, college success, workforce development, education policy, and financial aid that demonstrates a deep knowledge of what it takes to build and expand innovative programming
  • Proven track record of building high caliber teams, both internally and externally
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to respond to the shifting dynamics of the nonprofit and political landscapes; willingness and ability to work with ambiguity; ability to self-start and self-monitor progress
  • Well-networked within the Bay Area, with strong connections to civic, business, and philanthropic communities. Proven track record developing relationships and building collaborations
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time - locally within the Bay Area, statewide across California, and nationally across the United States
  • An unwavering commitment to personal and professional ethics and integrity. Personal qualities of intellectual curiosity, passion, idealism, positivity, humor and self-direction.
  • Commitment to a personal and professional exploration of power and privilege, including a willingness to self-reflect and experience discomfort in difficult and transformative conversations, previous progress along this journey required.
  • NCCPC staff should live in the Bay Area or be willing to travel at their own expense for in-person meetings. NCCPC does not employ staff who live outside of the State of California.
  • Minimum 2-year postsecondary degree required

Salary And Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position that offers a competitive salary range of 145,20.000- 180,000.00 annually. All staff receive a generous annual wellness fund stipend to promote healthy lifestyles, creativity, and work-life balance.
