Role Summary :

The Supply Chain & Procurement Manager will play a critical role in leading the strategic sourcing and procurement efforts for our growing organization, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with overall business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain management, vendor relationships, and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimizing procurement strategies and driving cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency, reduce risk, and minimize costs within the organizations supply chain
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management, including pricing, technical requirements, and lead times
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance evaluations and fostering collaboration
• Monitor and mitigate supplier quality issues and track compliance to terms
• Procure and track inventory to meet production schedules, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient distribution channels
• Manage the purchase order lifecycle, tracking open orders and following up as necessary
• Analyze and manage procurement budgets, driving cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards
• Maintain a comprehensive record of inventories, purchasing, and pricing records, and ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices
• Collaborate with internal departments, including production, finance, and logistics, to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives and monitor costs to ensure adherence to budgets and forecasts
• Conduct market research to identify trends, assess risks, and evaluate new suppliers or technologies that can enhance the supply chain
• Employ strategies and risk mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply
• Manage relationships with external manufacturers and strategic partners as needed
• Manage the process for BOM maintenance and updates
• Lead the full utilization and exploitation of NetSuite, Arena, and all affiliated ERP software tools
• Establish a demand planning process that integrates manufacturing planning, production scheduling, and inventory management

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field; Masters degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, production, scheduling, or inventory management, with a focus on strategic sourcing and data management
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Solid working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems, including NetSuite and PLM software such as Arena
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data driven, detail-oriented approach to analysis
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage complex supply chain process for integrated electromechanical systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

This role requires a dynamic individual with exceptional vendor negotiation skills who can effectively handle all procurement needs for the business, including both the hardware and software side as well as the related aspects of supply chain management including shipment & import management, external labor contracts, and more. This is an in-person role in Santa Monica (Los Angeles), CA.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for EV make ready components and supplies, charging hardware, software, and related components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Manage domestic and international supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to secure optimal terms.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and logistics requirements.
• Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures that promote compliance, transparency, and operational excellence.
• Design and implement procurement processes within ERP systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.

• Implement inventory planning strategies to balance supply and demand, optimizing turnover rates and minimizing excess stock.
• Establish internal inventory control systems to track and optimize stock levels across warehouses, field locations, and deployment sites.
• Develop and maintain a real-time inventory tracking system, ensuring visibility and accuracy across all supply chain operations.

• Manage the end-to-end shipping & receiving process, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
• Work closely with logistics providers and freight forwarders to streamline the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and distribution centers.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, shipping documentation requirements, and customs clearance.
• Optimize warehouse and distribution workflows, ensuring that received goods are properly inspected, stored, and distributed.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement and supply chain operations, leveraging strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and process improvements.
• Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and field operations teams to align procurement activities with company objectives and project timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics, automation, and industry best practices.

• Implement asset tracking systems to monitor EV charging hardware throughout its lifecycle, ensuring visibility into deployment, performance, and maintenance needs.
• Optimize the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, ensuring efficient handling of defective or faulty products, minimizing downtime, and improving supplier accountability.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or inventory control.
• ERP Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing procurement modules within ERP systems.
• International Trade & Logistics Experience: Strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and tariffs.
