Duties and Responsibilities:- Responsible for managing and executing all aviation, IT, and marketing procurement activities from vendor identification to quote evaluation to PO issuance and ultimately timely order delivery
- Maintaining realtime communication on order status.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels and attend pricing meetings
- Identifying cost savings and process improvements that strengthen Alaska Gear Company's supply chain resilience
- Building and maintaining strong vendor partnerships
- Keeping procurement aligned with quality standards and company policies
- Managing the Purchasing & Accounting Agent staff
- FAArelated tasks (supporting audits and managing the approved vendor database)
- Freight carrier management (FedEx, SPAN, Carlile, etc.)
- Facility equipment purchases and repairs (e.g., forklifts, sewing machines, shelving)
- Managing facility contracts and RFPs (e.g., snow removal, janitorial, lawn care)
- Exceptional attention to detail, followthrough, and organization skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experienced with shipping/customs/material transport logistics and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and procurementrelated software
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across departments, and thrive under deadlines
- Bachelor's degree preferred
