Job Description
The Employer Consultant provides leadership for workforce training
initiatives and business and industry partnerships to advance the
development of and enrollment in college-ready programs for business and
industry. Aligns vision, strategy, short and long-range goals, and the
operating requirements to ensure workforce programs, career technical
education, and workforce initiatives meet the changing needs of our
students, community, and businesses. Serves as a strategic partner to
develop deep, collaborative partnerships with area employers to
understand their specific market and individual training, education, and
workforce pipeline needs. Reports to the campus Executive Director of
Career Coaching and Employer Connections and works collaboratively with
Career Coach, Career Experiences Specialist, Academic Advisors, Deans,
K-14 Lead, and other leaders to develop work plans tied to College metrics
and ensure services and products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Partners with campus Executive Director of Career Coaching and Employer Connections and Systems Office Executive Director of Employer Connections to build out campus strategy related to employer connections and training/completions metrics.
- Integrates the alignment of workforce pipeline strategies including apprenticeship, internship, work-and-learn, and placement programs in support of students and local industry in partnership with Career Experiences Specialist.
- Responsible for marketing, enrollment, data management and analysis, and assisting in the design and development of programs.
- Monitors and responds to demand-driven needs and skills gaps within key economic sectors of the campus service area for workforce alignment, development, and training and education purposes.
- Establishes, maintains, and cultivates positive, collaborative partnerships with employers.
- Provides meaningful consulting services focused on employer needs.
- Actively listens to and engages employers to assist in realizing the full scope and depth of their needs.
- Implements demand-driven, voice-of-the-customer (VOC) processes to codevelop workforce programs and products.
- Provides data and information from the Department of Workforce Development and other agencies as well as rich customer data, to align with workforce needs as a support to employers.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director of Career Coaching and Employer Connections, builds a common vision for the campuses to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with College faculty and staff to implement credit and noncredit workforce development programs that meet community needs based on high wage, high demand occupations to develop talent pipelines for employers.
- Participates in local business organizations to further develop understanding of markets and communities to build relationships with employers, community organizations, and economic development partners.
- Serves as the central point of contact for private or public entities seeking information, resources, and solutions for workforce training and development.
- Supports K-14 pipeline development, Achieve Your Degree (AYD), apprenticeship, and other workforce pathways to create seamless employer connections.
- Works collaboratively with K-14 lead in promoting dual credit, youth options, open houses and campus events within all of the school districts the campuses serve to support the workforce talent pipeline.
- Shares relevant employer information and contacts within the CCEC and others related to campus employer connections through Salesforce, Google Docs, and monthly meetings with the workforce team, campus Executive Director of Career Coaching and Employer Connections, Career Coaches, and Career Experiences Specialists.
- Participates in related annual summits and/or retreats.
- Interacts with marketing department to create awareness of credit and noncredit educational services for business/industry in conjunction with academic affairs Assist program chairs/Deans with the recruitment and development of school specific advisory boards.
- Develops and presents program proposals and grant applications by drawing from the College subject matter experts and in collaboration with the academic dean, department chair, as appropriate, to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in training, education, and professional development activities as necessary to stay current with the skills and knowledge required to perform the duties of the job.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000

The Opportunity
The Employer Relations Associate is a key team member of the Career Development and Employer Relations team on Campus, responsible for sourcing full-time and internship roles and creating opportunities for students to engage with alumni and corporate contacts by developing relationships with local and regional employers.
This role requires an understanding of the local and regional job market. At Hult we tell our students that the “city is their campus”. This role aims to bring some of the city onto campus and campus to the city. With a primary focus on helping students and graduates take the next step in their careers, you will work collaboratively with each member of the Career Development and Employer Relations team in developing and implementing career events and activities both on and off campus. This role reports directly to the Campus Head of Career Development and Employer Relations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute on campus employer programs to support student job and internship success.
- Source employment opportunities from employer and alumni partners and promote opportunities to students. Actively participate and network at local external events generating leads to new employer partners.
- Connect with local alumni and develop opportunities for students to engage with alumni in on-campus and off-campus activities. Curate relevant off-campus events to offer networking opportunities for Hult students. Using your phenomenal networking skills, escort students to key events, and introduce them to the art of networking.
- Oversee the Handshake platform, ensuring efficient job posting processes and conducting regular analysis to track and enhance job matching, student engagement, and employer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain a robust employer pipeline by utilizing CRM tools to record, track, and manage employer interactions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information to support relationship-building and strategic decision-making.

- Collaborate with peers in Employer Relations across campuses to share best practices and source opportunities across regions for students.
- Annual Performance Targets for Campus ER Team:
- At least 40% of secured jobs (FT & Internships) come through ER team contacts and activities. This is a team target for the Campus CD/ER Team.
- Secure panelists/speakers from alumni and local corporate contacts and organize a minimum of 10 industry panels
- Organize at least 5 company visits/touchpoints per term (Fall, Spring, and Summer)
- Facilitate student connections with local alumni by organizing at least 10 alumni on-campus speaker events per year
- Partner with professional organizations on co-branded events on or off campus - target 1 event per term (Fall, Spring, Summer)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum two years of experience in relationship management, business development, or college/university employer relations.
- Experience with college recruiting from an employer’s perspective preferred
- Keen interest in understanding and communicating regional employment opportunities. Strong sense of local, regional and global business and related hiring trends. General awareness of global employment opportunities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across diverse cultures. Effective at building relationships, influencing others, and working collaboratively across teams.
- Experience with Handshake or other job posting platforms, databases and CRMs (Salesforce), event management platforms, social media content design and editing tools.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Employer Relations, the incumbent provides comprehensive administrative assistance to SIPA's Career Advancement Center (CAC).
Responsibilities
- Oversees postings of 5,000-7,000 job descriptions annually in SIPA Connect, the online recruitment database. Communicates with employers via email and phone regarding posting procedures and troubleshoots problems as they arise. Identifies employment trends and works with vendors to modify fields and categories in SIPA Connect.
- Trains and supervises the work of 3-5 student workers in job postings and industry/job research.
- Designs marketing materials, including brochures, for outreach to employers.
- Performs resume reviews with graduate students.
- Researches employers and opportunities in various sectors and meets regularly with the directors of Employer Relations and Employer Outreach to discuss outreach strategies to employers, and monitors responses.

- Designs flyers to advertise CAC events for students and oversees distribution.
- Coordinates joint events with concentration directors and managers/coordinators.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or its equivalent.

In that effort, Braven is hiring a Director, Employer Partnerships, with a focus on Business & Finance Sectors to play a pivotal role in the organization’s corporate fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and Fellow outcomes. As a member of Braven’s national External Affairs team, you will be responsible for both cultivating new prospective partners in the business & finance sectors and managing a portfolio of 20+ existing partners.
This role is on the External Affairs team and will report to the Head of Employer Partnerships & Volunteer Recruitment.
What You’ll DoDeepening Existing Relationships (50%)
- Manage a portfolio of high-stakes, shared-value relationships with national business & finance industry partners, driving meaningful outcomes and growth in Braven's impact; annual goals include $3.5M+ in revenue
- Develop and share internal memos that communicate the organization’s game plan for how we want to engage with each of the partners in your portfolio, then refine and iterate
- Recruit 700+ volunteer mentors and coaches from the business & finance sector, mobilizing a network of leaders committed to expanding Fellows’ social capital

Partnership Cultivation (20%)
- Proactively research a wide array of potential partners, develop cultivation plans, then leverage a relational approach to building and sustaining meaningful connections

- Engage Braven’s CEO and executive directors, setting behind-the-scenes vision and direction, then providing operational support to move partnerships forward toward successful outcomes

Compensation and BenefitsBraven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead, each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking.
New hires can expect a starting salary at the beginning of the range to allow room for growth with performance and so that Braven maintains internal equity. The salary ranges, by geographic market, for this role are set forth $7,200- 108,900 in Atlanta, 92,000- 114,900 in Chicago, and 101,200- 126,400 in New York, NY or Newark, NJ. This is a full-time, regular, exempt, and benefits eligible position where you will be working at 100% capacity.
