Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG) and Holy Cross Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurocritical Care Intensivist physician to join an extremely busy multi-disciplinary neuroscience institute located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This selected provider will work in the hospital as a Neurocritical Care Intensivist and also be a key physician partner within the Neuroscience Institute team to provide ongoing care for patients in the neuro ICU. The Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute has been recognized by the American Heart/Stroke Association as a Gold Plus center since 2012 and has also received Target Stroke Gold Plus Elite (2010 - 2023), Target Stroke Silver Plus (2025)
Advanced Therapy (2022, 2023, and 2025). Get With the Guidelines Commitment to Quality Award for 2025 (only 158 hospitals nationwide received this one).
Currently there are more than 87 active trials and protocols throughout the hospital including the Neuroscience Institute.
The hospital is on the campus of Holy Cross Hospital and has a dedicated 20 bed Neuro ICU and a 50-bed neuro step-down unit with specialized nursing for neuro patients. Neurodiagnostic testing including EEG, EMG and EP are conducted in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The institute has a level 3 NAEC certified, 4-bed EMU with on-site 24/7 monitoring. There is an onsite Intensive Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) as well as neuro centered outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy locations.
The call schedule for this opportunity is 1:2, currently the program has one neurocritical care intensivist. The selected candidate will be a partner with this individual splitting Neuro ICU coverage.
Fellowship training in critical care with specialization in neurosciences is required.

Job Summary
The position is primarily a clinical position related to the diagnosis, treatment and clinical management of pediatric patients in a multidisciplinary environment that includes physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, clinical scientists and social workers. The position offers exposure to a mix of general and high acuity pediatric patients. The position also includes teaching and supervision of medical residents and provides opportunities to participate in research and publishing.

The Michael & Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center includes a busy Hematology Oncology Clinic, Infusion Center, robust Radiation Oncology division, and an active Surgical Oncology program specializing in breast care and services. The Cancer Center is comprised of a total of nine providers, five APPs and three patient navigators.
The Infusion Center houses 32 individual chairs and two private rooms with two outdoor atriums for patients and staff. Radiation Oncology underwent a three-year, $12M technology upgrade and renovation including a TrueBeam Linear Accelerator, Ethos Halcyon Adaptive Treatment Accelerator, and Bravos Brachytherapy.
Support services include social services, nutrition, financial support, foundation and co-pay assistance program, specialized rehabilitation programs, and a med spa including massage, aromatherapy, and acupuncture.
