JOB SUMMARY

The Business Systems Analyst will provide applications support and day-to-day operational assistance with the main ERPs. They will work with application vendors, property managers, operational, finance and accounting teams, asset management teams and other IT staff to ensure that company operations are properly supported on the various platforms. This role will support both internal and external users through a variety of activities including but not limited to system updates and enhancements, configuration updates, training, documentation, diagnosing root causes and remedial actions.


The winning candidate will possess strong organizational skills, along with a strong sense of commitment, responsibility, and sound judgment. They should demonstrate a collaborative approach and the capacity to adapt effectively within a dynamic work environment. This candidate should be a strategic thinker; effectively understand the business needs, clearly articulate technical requirements and research and identify potential solutions.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the integrity and configuration of the ERP to support business critical processes
  • Act as technical product owner for several ERP modules
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to support business processes enabled by the ERP
  • Implement configuration changes and application enhancements using structured methodology
  • Conduct structured testing of changes or work with QA teams and business users to ensure testing processes follow organization standards
  • Support and directly execute day-to-day processes including:
  • Document & Maintain Access Control
  • ETL management Import/Export
  • Month-end processes
  • Property & Fund Budget updates
  • Support Property & Fund Accounting with general ledger and variance analysis of monthly financial statements ensuring data accuracy
  • Assist with providing financial information needed for compliance, regulatory filings and various ad-hoc reports
  • Provide end-user support by addressing support tickets for internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with internal and external support teams to ensure best practices are implemented within the ERP
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support system administrative functions, procedures and processes

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting ERP applications, working closely with business users in the system of records

MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts, the MPA Accessories division develops accessories for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis - which are installed on new vehicles in the United States and Canada.

Description

Under the leadership of the Systems Support Manager, this position will support business operations by leading Systems enhancements and modifications. This person will work directly with end users to support gathering and documenting business requirements. This person will also work with other members of the Systems team, including Systems Analysts and support staff, Development team, and project management. Create test scripts and perform systems User/Integration testing, training (including documentation of any user guides) are also required. This will also include setting priorities, reporting status, and ensuring proper processes are followed from beginning to post implementation of a project. This role will focus more on medium to larger projects, but there is also support required for minor changes and minimal support for day to day operational issues.

This is a full-time position at our North America HQ, though occasional travel may be required to travel to satellite offices in U.S.A.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather business requirements and identify areas of improvements, games in processes, and work with team members to determine solutions to complicated business workflows. 25%
  • Support all project development stages, including test script development, user and integration testing, training, and post launch support. Work with other systems analyst for support as needed. 25%
  • Lead meetings and ongoing review of project status, from thorough requirements validation to development status, user testing, implementation and post implementation. Post launch review of major projects and include lessons learned and help define continuous improvement. 15%
  • Keep project team updated on status and work closely with project management members to ensure current project status/schedules are maintained and communicated to key stakeholders. 15%
  • Support development of project schedule, including identifying milestones and accurate timelines. Minimize risks to projects and delays by communicating and identify challenges that need to be addressed along the way. 10%
  • Work with other members in systems team to support day to day operational challenges and help identify solutions to ongoing problems. 10%
Key Performance Indicators
  • Business documentation is completed in a timely manner to support project launch schedules. Requires approval and agreement from all stakeholders and project team
  • Requirements scope should have minimal change from time of approval and during development stages.
  • Gathers lessons learned for the successes and shortcomings after each project, and uses this to minimize risk for future tasks
  • Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and support best practices for process changes. This includes approvals and general change management processes.
  • Able to adapt to changing environment and keep project scope under control
  • Holds meetings with appropriate teams in a timely manner
  • JIRA tickets and project plans are updated on a frequent basis as needed to communicate with the project team
Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
  • This position typically works 8hrs per day M-F
  • Weekend and after hours support will be required to support project launches and other initiatives as needed
  • Minimal travel required, including occasional trips to local warehouses
  • May occasionally require extended trip to support project launches
Required Qualifications

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Or a combination of education and equivalent experience)
Experience Requirements
  • 5+ years of related experience, including business requirements gathering, user testing, and general SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) experience
  • Candidate must have some experience with finance and accounting principals.
  • Experience working with technical and business users
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Certifications
  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) or other supply chain related certifications or affiliations a plus.
Skills
  • Ability to communicate between business teams and technical teams
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within other business units
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Experience writing queries using SQL or other tools
  • Capable of writing business documentation and/or technical diagrams
Employment Type - Non-Exempt, Hourly Wage

Compensation - The expected hiring range for this position is $62,518.54 - 92,214.85, depending on experience and qualifications.
