Eaton's Commercial Products & Assemblies (CPA) division within the Electrical Sector is hiring a Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence Leader. Relocation to specific markets listed in the posting will be offered. Not a remote position. Up to 50% travel.
**What you'll do:**
The CI/OPEX leader is fully responsible for leading Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence for the Commercial Products & Assemblies division within the Electrical Sector and reports directly to the Director of Operations. This role will include leading and deploying operational efficiency, lean and continuous improvement initiatives and tools, key performance indicators, benchmarking and an effective productivity management operating system as well as operation system deployment across multiple sites. This leader will develop and execute the continuous improvement strategy for the division including planning, standardizing and deploying all elements of continuous improvement framework (CIF).
The CI/OPEX leader will work closely with Commercial Products & Assemblies (CPA) facilities in Asheville, North Carolina, Cleveland, Tennessee, El Paso, Texas, Hodges and Sumter South Carolina, and Juarez, Mexico and will coordinate activities with the sector CI function as well as Quality, Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS), EHS and Engineering functions. This role is accountable to deliver and manage High 5 improvement actions and goals and will work with plant OpEx leaders to define development plans to improve both their functional knowledge and Build Organizational Capability (BOC) expertise.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
**Process Excellence**
+ Lead internal operating system (Eaton Business Systems), Operational Assessment (OpA) Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) roadmap and strategy for the division.
+ Ensure the development and implementation of an effective Management Operating System to align and support performance management and effective escalation.
+ Partner with factories to develop and deploy operational efficiency tools that will help drive productivity and simplify our manufacturing process.
+ Design and standardizes factory dashboards and KPI's to match business and factory needs.
+ Coordinates Operating System deployment and continuous improvement training.
+ Continuously improve and document operations processes through implementation of lean, six sigma tools, best practices, experiences, etc.
**Operations**
+ Lead Productivity and continuous improvement mgmt. operating system and project pipeline generation process in strong partnership with factories, regional operations and business functions.
+ Manage planning, facilitation and completion of continuous improvement events calendar and transition projects to support YoY cost productivity in line with business objectives.
+ Defines and deploys standardization initiatives, benchmarking and operational compliance standards.
+ Use Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles to implement corrective and improvement actions for operational issues.
**Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, manufacturing or industrial engineering
