- Works at maximum potential to meet productivity requirements to improve fiscal viability while maintaining quality medical care.
- Meets all time commitments by arriving on time to the clinic and working entire shift or more as needed.
- Become an integral part of the medical staff through participation in medical staff and other clinic meetings.
- Comply with Title 22 regulations regarding health care and infectious disease.
- Performs other duties within the scope of practice as assigned.
- Completion of a nationally accredited Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program.
- California license upon hire and maintain current without any limitations on license to practice in area of specialty.
- Must be in good standing with the California State Licensing Board.
- CPR certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous outpatient clinic experience working with indigent population preferred.
- 3 years of experience or post-graduate training preferred.
- ACLS certification.

As a Doctor Coordinator , you will support the receiving ER Veterinarians by performing administrative duties and communicating with the Charge Nurse in coordinating patient flow in a fast-paced, high volume emergency setting.
Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Record patient history from the registration sheet into the patient medical record
- Attach rDVM records, pictures, diagnostics, etc. to the patient medical record, and create a written summary as needed in the patient history
- Begin discharge templates for DVM approval and finalization
- Dispense prescriptions per DVM instructions
- Track and help finalize diagnostics
- Coordinate with Charge Nurse to schedule procedures
- Coordinate patient care, such as surgery and ultrasounds between departments
- Locate and room patients
- Follow up on client communications as appropriate
- Schedule specialty consultations for clients
- Create cost estimates per DVM instruction
- Review and discuss cost estimates with clients
- Get client signatures on informed consent and estimates as appropriate
- Set up for specific exam types including fluorescein stain and ear cytology

Education and Experience
- Minimum of one year working in Client Care, preferably in the veterinary field.
- Valid driver's license for driving the DoveLewis transport van desired.
- Experience in critical care or emergency small animal care in private, non-profit, or educational organization preferred.
- Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute.
Wage: $22-24/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities for Physician
- Work with the team to provide patients with osteopathy, physical medicine and general medicine.
- Perform osteopathic manipulation.
- Perform trigger point injections and joint injections.
- Coordinate with PM&R doctors, Physical therapists, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists to help the patient achieve their health goals.
- Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate and called for.
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
- Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
- Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

- Experience providing feneral medicine, physical medicine, osteopathy and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
