**Compensation:** $14/hr - $15.50/hr. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
HealthFitness has a great opportunity for part-time (working approximately 8 hours per week) Lifeguards at our client site located in Burlington, Wisconsin. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.
Key Accountabilities
**Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.**
**Enforce and explain rules as necessary.**
**Respond appropriately to any emergency.**
**Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.**
**Attend all required staff meetings and training.**
**Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.**
**Maintain a professional attitude.**
**Other duties as needed/assigned.**
Minimum Requirements
**Must be at least 16 years old.**
**American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.**
**Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.**
**Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.**
**Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.**
**Flu vaccination required.**
All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:
**500 yard swim.**
**Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.**
**Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.**
**Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.**

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of all swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations.
- Monitors recreational areas to provide assistance and protection to participants.
- Provides prompt and courteous service to each guest.
- Understands pool equipment.
- Understands and enforces pool rules and regulations.
- Stays updated on training requirements.
- Works to prevent accidents.
- Coordinates emergency procedures and provides first aid in an emergency.
