Overview
Taurus Industrial Group’s Specialty Services division is seeking a Manufacturing/Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations at our OEM manufacturing facility and warehouse in the Pittsburgh Metro (Greensburg) area. This role is critical in supporting production of our induction heating machines, co-axial cables, and specialty equipment, while ensuring efficient warehousing, order fulfillment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong supervisory skills, experience in manufacturing and warehouse management, and working knowledge of quality systems, including KanBan and 5S methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of manufacturing and warehouse teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output.
- Oversee OEM manufacturing of induction heating machines, wands, co-axial cables, and related specialty equipment.
- Manage warehousing activities, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance standards, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles, including KanBan scheduling, 5S, and process optimization.
- Coordinate material flow between manufacturing and warehouse to support timely project delivery.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to manufacturing and warehouse personnel.
- Monitor KPIs for productivity, quality, safety, and delivery, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Partner with management on production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Recommended Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience:
- 5+ years in manufacturing/warehouse supervision, preferably in industrial equipment or OEM production environments.
- Experience with induction machines, electrical assemblies, or cable manufacturing a strong plus.
- Education: Associate Degree preferred and/or equivalent hands-on supervisory experience considered.
- Technical/Operational Skills:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and warehousing practices.
- Familiarity with Lean/Continuous Improvement tools (KanBan, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis).
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and MS Office Suite.

Essential Functions Include:
- Responsible for supervising daily manufacturing activities and staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, disciplinary actions, termination recommendations, training, development, etc.
- Responsible for implementing project safety and quality assurance programs
- Execution of SAP functionality for batch close out and generating SAP reports as required.
- Develop, write, and review Standard Operating Procedures, Buffer Formulation Records and Batch Production Records (BPRs).
- Responsible for ensuring proper documentation and execution of BPRs and activity records, according to cGMP regulations.
- Lead deviation resolution and closure with subject matter expert and quality teams.
- Responsible for tracking CAPAs to closure.
- Provide input and support to R&D functions during development and scale up activities as necessary.
- Represents organization in client meetings as the subject matter expert with regard to assigned manufacturing processes.
- Ensure an adequate supply of materials available; ensure all materials for project are procured prior to production.
- Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary company information.

Job Description
+ The Manufacturing Supervisor's responsibility is to develop and maintain successful team operations for the manufacture of tape rules and/or knife blades.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** **:**
+ Provide teams with direction, priorities, focus and boundaries.
+ Provide resources and expertise in the manufacturing process, systems, training, and employee relations.
+ Encourage communication and feedback.
+ Develop and implement (or assist with) all phases of team or individualized training.
+ Planning: set long and short term production schedules for employees in the respective production areas.
+ Manufacturing Operations: assist in maintaining effective operating departments by controlling activity within prescribed quality standards, production levels, and cost levels, while keeping a focus on safety and manufacturing objectives.
+ Maintain good employee relations by applying Plant policies and guidelines, and interpreting the Collective Bargaining Agreements.
+ Participate in the selection and training of new personnel.
+ Recommend process improvements, changes in equipment, tooling or manufacturing processes; submit ideas for cost savings.
+ Maintain required information and records necessary for efficient operations and controls. Maintain production standards in areas of responsibility.
+ Promote safe work habits of subordinates and compliance with safety rules in work areas. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
+ Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets when required. Help to control costs throughout the year.
+ Actively promote the principles of lean manufacturing; participate in Kaizen activities as required.
+ Comply with all Plant Environmental, Health and Safety policies and Environmental and OSHA regulatory requirements
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
+ High School degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
+ 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience
+ Familiarity with manufacturing environment required, familiarity with unionized manufacturing preferred
+ PC knowledge/computer literate
+ Knowledge of production planning
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
+ Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office programs
+ Able to physically be on the shop floor up to 90% of the shift (walking/mobility)
+ Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills but also the ability to work independently
+ Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences including unionized associates
+ Effective organizational and time management skills
