The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos' is seeking a Materials Requisitioner / Planner in the Long Beach, MS facility in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the fulfillment acquisition process.

• Create purchase requisitions in CostPoint.

• Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships.

• Manage Leidos required supplier paperwork.

• Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success.

• Track supplier on time delivery.

• Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.

• Maintain purchasing records and purchasing BOM status.

• Data analysis.

• Understand production flow.

• Create, open and close manufacturing orders.

• Other administrative duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least 2-4 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in DFAR environment.

• Strong customer interface skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

• Individuals must possess strong characteristics around initiative, attitude, assertiveness and sense of urgency

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) Secret Clearance

Preferred Experience

• DoD or Military contract experience

• Supply chain experience.

• Experience using Solumina.

• Experience using Windchill

• Ability to read mechanical drawing and data sheets

GENERAL SUMMARY

To ensure safe and efficient movement of product throughout the entire system. Work in the weld, press, and warehouse areas of the facility ensuring timely product/dunnage movement in your area of responsibility. Demonstrates a Continuous Improvement attitude with a willingness to adopt new ideas/skills using TQPS principles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

A. Report all quality, production or safety problems to the team or group leader. Moves non-conforming material to MRB area.
B. Ensure quality parts are shipped according to customer requirements. Verify customer order match actual parts being moved to the next operation / location.
C. Stage dies as needed for changeovers in the area of responsibility (if applicable) and take to tool room after use.
D. Move material from storage to next designated work areas.
E. Remove dies from & place dies in the press during the changeover process (if applicable).
F. Assist in completing monthly and yearly physical inventories.
G. Unload inbound trailers with empty dunnage and put away in designated locations (if applicable).
H. Ensure all parts, containers (full or empty) are staged and scanned properly to a location in Shop Edge or located in designated container storage areas.
I. Remove labels from all containers.
J. Complete daily tow motor checklist.
K. Perform & maintain 5-S standards in area of responsibility.
L. Suggest methods of improvement, (i.e. continuous improvement plan & performance award program).
M. Available for overtime as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education:
• Required - High school diploma or GED
• Required - Must pass fork truck certification @ NASG
• Basic computer skills
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Demonstrated basic math skills

Experience:
• 2 Years forklift experience preferably in manufacturing
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in safe material handling practices
• Preferred previous experience in assembly / manufacturing environment

Personal/Technical Skills:
• Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team.
• Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

Plant: Various types of manufacturing environments.
• Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection, etc. may be required in designated engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
• Involves moderate or occasional presence of some slightly disagreeable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, odor, etc.

Description Summary: Key member of the Supply Chain team. Major responsibilities include ensuring ministries follow Corporate Supply Chain directives to include receiving, warehouse, distribution, inventory and usage control, contract compliancy, Infor and charging compliancy and related functions. The supervisor shall have 24 HR accountability for the department. Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Ability to perform Supply Chain Technician, Technician Senior, and Technician lead tasks. Responsible for all supply and equipment inventory ensuring ERP processes are being followed. Master INFOR modules appropriately (according to assignment) including Par Specialist, Purchasing Receiver, Inventory Management, Warehouse Clerk, and Mobile Supply Chain Mgmt. Assists in the oversight of the operational responsibilities of the Supply Chain functions of central supply, receiving and/or distribution. Review item usage reports and assist in recommending inventory level changes. Assist supervisor/manager/director with any purchases and consignment management. Assist with the annual inventory counts and is involved with variance resolution. Collaborates and assists in process improvements as it relates to Supply Chain. Evaluates associate’s performance and counsels when appropriate. Run/work weekly inventory valuations, inventory turns, conversions and INR reports. Mentors’ local MM teams to encourage professional development. Involvement with cost savings strategies. Monitor, rotate and transfer stock, adjusting process to alleviate supplies from expiring. Inventory cycle counts. Plans for proper utilization of personnel within departments. Assists departments with quotes for contracted supplies and/or equipment. Track supply contract compliancy for region and provide monthly updates to Manager with status of contract launch packets. Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement in operations and systems with particular reference to customer service. Occasionally work long or irregular hours including nights and weekends. Must be well versed in the use of MS Office suite/Supply Chain Applications. Analytical and quantitative thinker. Ability to present effectively and meet with hospital executives.
