AT A GLANCE:
Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our Safety & Compliance Team. This position is responsible for helping control loss of products in the warehouse by being present each day during loadout and assists with maintenance repair awareness. They will also help aid in maintaining safety measures are being adhered to in the warehouse.
DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
- Be present during daily/nightly loadout in the warehouse to maintain control of damage and loss of product.
- Conduct investigations regarding safety and/or product loss by maintaining a physical presence and watching video to determine the root cause and appropriate corrective actions in both the area Distribution Center and regional retail store(s).
- Assist Risk Business Partner in resolving claims related to customer injuries and/or complaints.
- Serve as local point of contact for the Operations team and provide conflict management, as needed, when a product is damaged or missing.
- In conjunction with the Manager, Safety and Compliance, facilitate safety audits, incident investigations, and assist in implementing the designated solutions to prevent injury and/or damage to property.
- Coordinate with the Manager, Safety and Compliance to ensure safety controls are met and followed in the Distribution Center.
- Provide a security presence in the retail store(s) as needed.
- Coordinate with the General Manager to ensure that safety and security procedures and practices are followed in the retail environment.
- Coordinate with Manager, Safety and Compliance to execute monthly safety meetings with Operations Teams.
- Assist the locations with facility and maintenance needs in coordination with the Manager, Safety and Compliance.
- Conduct the monthly fire pump test for the location(s).
- Champion a positive safety culture in both the regional store(s) and Distribution Center(s).
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Manager, Safety and Compliance.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 or more years of experience in retail, loss prevention, security, military, or law enforcement
- Understanding of basic office applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to navigate security camera systems (CCTV)
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Able to be flexible with hours as nightly work loads change.
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring.
- Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds.
- Wear the proper PPE when handling chemicals.
- Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

**Job Summary**
The Regional Safety Manager (RSM) is a key member of the regional leadership team and will serve as the primary driver of food safety and occupational safety programs across multiple accounts. The RSM will work to reduce workplace injuries, improve food safety compliance, and build a proactive safety culture. · Investigate workplace incidents, perform root cause analyses, and guide corrective actions.
· Facilitate training programs for frontline staff, managers, and chefs on topics including injury prevention, HACCP, allergens, sanitation, PPE, and more.
· Serve as a mentor and resource to unit-level Safety Champions and leadership.
· Partner with Human Resources, Legal, Culinary, and Operations to ensure alignment and follow-through.
· Establish systems to track safety KPIs, including near misses, lost-time incidents, inspection results, and training compliance.
· Produce monthly reporting dashboards and provide updates to the Regional VP and National Safety team.
· Foster a "Culture of Safety" through communication campaigns, recognition programs, and daily engagement.

**Requirements**
· 5+ years in operations, food service, or safety compliance roles.
· Experience managing or auditing health&safety or food safety programs across multiple locations.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA, HACCP, ServSafe, and state/local health codes.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to train, coach, and influence.
· Proficiency in incident tracking and audit systems (or ability to learn quickly).
· Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within the region.
Preferred:
· Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHESP, or equivalent credential.
· ServSafe Instructor/Proctor certification.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
