Responsibilities:
+ Self-generate prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.
+ Maintain relationships within assigned territory and make personal sales calls at a customer's location to maximize sales success, at least three (3) full business days a week.
+ Build and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities by regularly spending time outside of the office making sales calls and following up on generated quotes.
+ Make a minimum of 3 in person sales visits OR 20 outbound sales phone calls per day properly documented in CRM.

+ Obtain Sales Manager's approval on all truck deals.
+ Coordinate service work such as PDI, miscellaneous add ons and/or repairs with the service department. Purchase Order with an authorized signature is required before the truck is sent to service.
+ Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance Departments, providing accurate information and paperwork to assist in obtaining customer financing and insurances.
+ Promote and support our "One Team" vision. Sell all services offered: Parts, Service, Body Shop, Used Truck Warranties, RushCare Contract Maintenance, and RushCare telematics. Take the initiative to identify the customers' overall business needs and not just their transportation needs.
+ Within 6 months sell minimum of 6 units (1 per month), obtain 50 approved accounts in CRM, and have a minimum of 1 finance contract, 1 Used Truck Warranty, 1 RushCare contract maintenance contract, and 1 RushCare telematics contract.
+ Meet Account Management, Productivity and Performance requirements as outlines in the Used Truck Personnel System and Standardization Framework.
+ Complete all required training as outlined in the Used Truck Personnel System and Standardization Framework.
+ Conduct business ethically and professionally, assuring a favorable impression of self and the company.
+ Maintain a safe work environment by observing safety procedures and by requiring that all staff follow the required safety rules and regulations.
+ Maintain work area in an orderly fashion, including vehicle.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Manager, Municipal Sales is responsible for the development and implementation of the division sales strategy for municipal contract extensions, retentions, and new business of municipal hauling and homeowner association sales opportunities, to ensure growth, retention, and quality of revenue in the division/ area. The Manager, Municipal Sales also prospects, sells, and participates in account management and retention activities to ensure the long term targeted, profitable sales growth of municipal hauling and homeowners' association business, as well as supports and manages the government affairs activities in the assigned division.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Prospects, sells and proactively manages the business relationship within an assigned division for the municipal market. Negotiates pricing and contracts, including contract extensions, as appropriate. Ensures that all approved contract terms are met.
+ Attends bid conferences as necessary. Prepares and delivers responses to RFP's and bids, as well as, sales presentations and follows up directly with key decision-makers.
+ Develops and implements comprehensive account plans (sales, marketing and service programs/strategies) to achieve annual sales and profit objectives within the assigned territory. Involves the Area President and/or General Manager in sales and government relation's activities as needed.
+ Meets regularly with key decision-makers within assigned municipalities, state and federal agencies to enhance the company's position and continuously bring value-added services to the relationship.
+ Conducts on-site client reviews continually to ensure that quality service is effectively delivered, documents deficiencies and effectively recommends corrective action to operations team as appropriate.
+ Maintains an awareness of market dynamics and competitors' activity in areas where the company conducts business. Attends industry trade shows and participates in local or state industry associations and trade groups. Develops/implements approved strategies and activities to increase account penetration; satisfaction to ensure profitable client retention.
+ Meets with operations management as appropriate to coordinate sales, surveys, and service efforts for assigned accounts/territory. Must be politically astute in daily dealings with client family.
+ Meets with Pricing; Corporate Development teams, as appropriate, to coordinate proforma development for new, extension and retention opportunities, and may assist in the collection and/or accounting adjustments with delinquent accounts.
+ May seek out and coordinate development of new solid waste infrastructure projects and manages projects through the development cycle and conclusion, working in coordination with Corporate Development.
+ Prepares and maintains all sales documentation (Blue sheets, Sales Funnel, Client Profile, etc.) by populating and maintaining the CRM system on a weekly basis.
+ Attends council and/or board meetings as necessary.
+ Prepares and delivers responses to customer issues and follows up directly with key decision-makers.
+ Meets regularly with key decision-makers within assigned municipalities, state and federal agencies to enhance the Company's position and continuously bring value-added services to the franchise relationship.
+ Conducts on-going Municipal Waste Assessments to ensure that quality service is effectively delivered, documents deficiencies and recommends corrective action to operations team as appropriate.
+ Maintains an awareness of market dynamics and competitors' activity in areas where the company conducts business. Attends local industry trade shows and participates in local chambers or other community associations and trade groups.
+ Develops/implements approved strategies and activities to increase account penetration & satisfaction to ensure profitable customer retention.
+ Meets with operations management as appropriate to coordinate on problem resolution and customer service efforts for assigned accounts/territory.
+ Maintains awareness of political and social issues impacting customers and strategy.
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Knowledge of all facets of sales strategy and implementation including market research, customer prospecting, sales promotion and customer retention strategies. Will be required to complete municipal sales training programs.

**The Job You Will Perform:**
In this role, you will directly manage individual accounts with sales revenue of up to 30-50 million with regional responsibility for the North American territory and potential for global account support totaling 200+ million in sales revenue. You will oversee the commercial activities of Absorbent Hygiene & some Tissue/Towel converters in North America as part of the Global Cellulose Fibers 2.5+ million annual tons of global pulp sales.
Your responsibilities will include sales of Fluff & Papergrade pulps throughout the territory with a primary focus on Absorbent Hygiene converters. You will defend and improve our leading segment position, achieve desired growth in volume or mix with the right customers, and optimize our product portfolio and service platforms while mitigating value detractors.
This position requires an experienced, passionate and career driven sales professional capable of managing a wide range of accounts including both large strategic multilocational accounts and single site accounts in North America. The channels will mainly be direct but could require the use of or management of selling agents with all sales being all B2B. A strong foundational supply chain knowledge with an understanding of how products/commodities are moved, stored and associated economics is required in territory. The role includes a travel and expense budget, with travel primarily domestic and some limited international requirements.
Your direct focus will be on North America though this role will require a high level of competence and ability to navigate and articulate global pulp markets, foreign trade opportunities or challenges accounting for current trade/tariff requirements and the navigation of global supply chains. An intense focus on cost reduction, cash flow, and efficiency is essential. You will work with and across a large number of business and functional stakeholder groups in different geographies and time zones to deliver value and business results.
KeyAccountabilities:
+ Lead the strategic initiatives and profitability enhancement efforts for key Absorbent Hygiene accounts converting widely recognized household brands.
+ Support and assist in managing multinational accounts in the territory.
+ Manage all sales activities to Absorbent Hygiene and Towel/Tissue converters.
+ Primary objectives are to develop new business, maintain existing business and maximize overall profitability for IP pulp assets.
+ Develop and execute sales and account plans/strategies to meet or exceed: volume, forecasting, price, mix, accounts receivables, inventory, service programs and customer value management targets as well as developing a sales pipeline for long-term growth.
+ Work closely with our Customer Value Manager, Product Portfolio Manager, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sustainability, Innovation, Technical Service, and Manufacturing teams to ensure we meet the objectives set for our customers and our internal organizations.
+ Partner with customers to help them win in their markets and segments by driving mutual value.
+ Manage the credit and risk portfolio of our customers along with the Credit teams, to ensure we select financially sound customers and properly managing our receivables.
+ Understand the dynamics of the pulp market and effectively communicate the impacts to the appropriate people throughout the organization, as a way to help the organization understand the direction of the market and set the strategies for our Global Cellulose Fibers business.
+ Provide timely feedback on market conditions, customers, competitive activity influencing the market, and develop effective responses.
+ Provide annual budgetary projections and monthly forecasts of demand for territory accounts.
+ Facilitate processing of customer complaints and credits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on enhancing the Sales Enablement Platform, ensuring delivery to specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to implement strategic tools, methodologies, and processes that improve sales effectiveness and performance.
- Contribute to short-term planning and execution of sales enablement initiatives that impact multiple departments.
- Manage and optimize the Salesforce platform, including user setup, security, customization, and governance.
- Oversee Salesforce-related support tickets, change management, and vendor relationships to ensure platform capabilities align with business needs.
- Provide training and coaching to sales team members on Salesforce usage and best practices.
- Ensure data integrity and quality through governance policies, data cleansing, and deduplication efforts.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights into sales performance, pipeline metrics, and strategic planning.
- Drive continuous improvement of sales processes, including lead management, forecasting, and productivity workflows.
- Implement automation solutions using Salesforce tools (e.g., workflow rules, Process Builder) to streamline operations across departments.
- Integrate Salesforce with other systems in collaboration with marketing, customer service, and other teams.
- Communicate project progress and strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Mentors junior team members and contributes to knowledge sharing across the sales enablement function.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Proven experience administering Salesforce CRM, preferably in a sales or business development environment.

- Strong understanding of CRM best practices, data governance, and sales processes.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Collaboration and communication skills are important.
