**Job Summary** **:**
The Audio Visual (AV) Design Engineer reports into the Stanford University IT Infrastructure AV Technologies Deployment team. This individual will work with stakeholders across the University and partner institutions to understand their vision for a vast range of venues e.g., huddle spaces, conference rooms, classrooms, multi-purpose event locations, auditoriums to develop and implement AV systems to meet their needs.
The responsibilities center around client engagement, AV system consulting and design, implementation oversight, and ensuring the solution functions as intended, and meets the use cases for the venue. The AV Engineer solicits the needs and expectations of the client, creates the design, generates the technical drawings, prepares the equipment list, facilitates estimates for equipment and labor costs, and drafts the client proposal as inputs to the final statement of work. During the project, responsibilities include oversight for the installation and testing of the system, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and facilitating client acceptance of the system.
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Consult with clients to determine AV requirements for the venue's use cases
+ Develop and propose AV solutions based upon Stanford's technology standards
+ Create the AV design and requisite artifacts e.g., artist renderings, CAD drawings, equipment lists, user documentation to describe the proposed solution in detail to include required audio, visual, and network systems
+ Review and validate the Bill of Materials for compliance with standards and ensure completeness of required components
+ Estimate level of effort and costs for equipment and labor

+ Evaluate product and evaluate potential suppliers; and act as the primary subject matter expert

**Minimum Qualifications**

We are looking for an Audio-Visual Design Engineer for our Milwaukee branch whose attitude, skills, and work ethic will embody our mission "to provide a fantastic customer experience". Somebody who is passionate about AV, whether you are the go-to expert in your home, school, or church, and can always find a solution to any AV problem, or you are interested in working towards becoming that person, we will provide the necessary training, support, and work environment to help you succeed. What are your responsibilities?
- Design AV signal flows
- Use AutoCAD to create AV design diagrams
- Work with existing architecture and electrical framework to design AV rooms.
- Keep up to date with new AV integration technology

Does experience count?
- Education: Associates degree is preferred, but not required. We take into account your experience/skill level and what you bring to the table as an individual.
-Attitude and Aptitude: Are key! We need someone who is eager to learn and comes to work ready to tackle any situation.
- Audio Visual Experience: at least 3 years of relevant industry experience or a combination of relevant Electrical/Audio-Visual Engineering Education and experience equivalent

Are you an innovative and detail-oriented designer with a passion for education? We are looking for a Lead Visual Design and Training Certification Specialist to spearhead the development and implementation of dynamic visual design strategies for advanced training courses, certification programs, and eLearning modules. This pivotal role combines visual design expertise with instructional collaboration to ensure that all training content is engaging, accessible, and compliant with organizational standards and federal regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct the creation and execution of visually compelling design strategies across all advanced training and certification projects.
- Work closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and multimedia developers to generate high-quality visual assets that enhance learning experiences.
- Establish and maintain cohesive visual themes, templates, and branding for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training formats.
- Integrate adult learning principles and accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508/WCAG) into all visual and interactive content development.
- Oversee production of infographics, storyboards, animations, and simulations that significantly boost learner engagement and retention.
- Provide creative leadership, technical guidance, and quality assurance to a team of graphic designers.
- Ensure that all visual outputs meet certification standards, testing protocols, and pertinent federal guidelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive digital asset library, implementing version control and standardized design practices across all projects.
- Generate reports and visual analytics on course performance, learner engagement, and media effectiveness to inform continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in training delivery, instruction, or education.
- Proven track record of delivering training in classroom, virtual, or hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of instructional delivery techniques and adult learning principles.
- Experience in classroom management and training coordination.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for organizing and delivering course content.
- Capable of evaluating training effectiveness through feedback and analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience in course development or curriculum design in addition to delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of training and development theories, learning psychology, and motivational techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex training challenges using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience mentoring or training junior-level staff.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the capability to tailor style to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with industry-specific practices or regulatory requirements related to training initiatives.
