Job Description
Unit: Mobile Mammography
Hours: 6am-6:30p
Facility: AMC
Position Summary:
Independently performs all mammographic procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities in the mammography department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.
Essential Duties & Functions:
1. Performs mammographic procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates images for technical quality.
2. Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the mammography procedure.
3. Implements screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed mammography policies / procedures. Performs daily and weekly QC as required.
4. Practices sterile techniques during biopsy procedures.
5. Assists Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations.
6. Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction.
7. Assesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs. Thoroughly educates patients about exam.
8. Ensures that all records, files and reports are properly recorded as required, performs clerical duties when necessary, verifies a signed physician order is received and corresponds with the billed procedure.
9. Maintains knowledge of the locations and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit.
10. Follows radiation safety policies and procedures.
Education:
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree

Area of study or major: Radiologic Technology. Completed all mammography courses required for registry
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire
ARRT RT (R) registry required

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Job Title: Surgical Tech I - CVOR
Unit: Operating Room
Shift: 7a-5:30p, w/e, holiday, on-call
Facility: AMC
The Surgical Technologist (ST) performs technical functions to assist in the delivery of patient care within the Operating Room or other areas of the hospital as assigned. The ST provides assistance to other health care providers such as Registered Nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons and other professionals. The primary role of the ST is to perform in the scrub role during surgical procedures and to ensure availability of all sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment. Additionally, the ST provides orient/training to new team members, participates in very complex cases, and is responsible for driving PI projects to completion.
Essential Duties & Functions
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of sterile technique, scrubbing and sterilization practices.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of equipment used in the operating room.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medications used during a surgical procedure.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the handling of specimens.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient care in the operating room (prepping, draping, positioning, moving etc.)
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of cleaning in surgery (instrumentation, OR rooms etc)
- Assist the surgery team with room turn over and preparation of procedures
Additional Requirements
Area of study or major: Surgical Technology
Preferred educational qualifications Diploma; Associates Degree in the field of Surgical Technology; Military Training; 5 or more years of experience without a degree.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Current CPR is required.
