We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to join our team in Westwood. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to oversee and enhance HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and corporate policy management. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to managing HR operations across our organization. This is a stand-alone role for an organization that has roughly 50 employees and this firm offers hybrid flexibility (one day remote). Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and Bamboo is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate searches, and new employee onboarding.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive onboarding and offboarding procedures to ensure seamless employee transitions.
- Serve as the primary administrator for BambooHR, managing employee data and HRIS systems.
- Draft, update, and enforce corporate policies such as Employee Handbooks, Codes of Ethics, and IT Privacy Policies.
- Process semi-monthly payroll, expense reports, and annual bonuses while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee and coordinate the semi-annual employee performance review process, providing guidance to managers and employees.
- Address employee inquiries regarding benefits, insurance, 401(k), and other HR-related matters.
- Prepare and manage annual HR budgets and conduct Workers' Compensation Insurance audits for all employees.
- Foster employee engagement through surveys, team-building activities, and other initiatives.
- Act as recording secretary for Board of Directors meetings and handle special projects as required.
Requirements - A minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resources with a proven track record in HR management.
- Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR, and other HRIS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

The **HR Director** is accountable for strategically partnering with Sales & Marketing, and Resort Operations leaders to improve upon communication and employment practices that have a positive impact on the reduction of turnover, employee morale, and overall business results. **How You'll Shine:**
+ Hire, train, develop and lead team consisting of HR Managers, Generalists and Analysts to support the needs of the business as well as Human Resources initiatives and organizational needs.
+ Partner with the business to ensure HR support is aligned with direction of the company goals and initiatives.
+ Interpret, administer and ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, company policies and procedures. Remain current and adhere to documentation and retention measures that will ensure compliance and reduce company exposure.
+ Interpret, advise, mediate and coach business partners as well as HR team on HR-related matters with employees and management. Effectively investigate, document and apply corrective actions when appropriate for employee complaints. Proficiently address all harassment and discrimination cases in accordance with company, federal and state guidelines.
+ Assess and identify employee and leadership developmental and training needs. Recommend and deliver diversity, policies and procedures, employment law and leadership training as needed. Coordinate and lead key management development and project initiatives that respond to current and projected organizational needs.
+ Support the development and or implementation of organization-wide projects and programs including Talent Management - Attract, Develop and Retain, initiatives.
+ Attend various business leadership meetings to ensure goal alignment. Provide objective feedback to business initiatives and assist in the development of solutions that support the business objectives.
**What You'll Bring:**
+ Four (4) year college degree with major of emphasis in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or Communications.
+ SPHR or PHR Certification preferred
+ Experience in supporting multiple field operations
+ Ability to deliver effective presentations
+ Excellent interpersonal skills to include ability to gain consensus among peers and subordinates, ability to disarm potentially volatile personnel situations, create team building environment. Ability to resolve employee conflicts and offer advice and solutions creating a win/win situation for the employee and company.
+ Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances and to interact effectively at all levels across diverse cultures.
+ Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to HR, including EEO, FLSA, ADA, etc.
+ Strong relationship building techniques, ability to influence objectives/decisions.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other HR / payroll related software systems, Workday a plus
+ Certified in HR training programs preferred

The Director of Human Resources serves as the strategic and operational leader for all HR functions within the business group. Mergers & Acquisitions
+ Support due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions.

Employee & Labor Relations
+ Provide guidance on HR policies, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
+ Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOL, EEOC, NLRB).
+ Maintain visibility and accessibility across all shifts, including second shift operations.
Compliance & HR Operations
+ Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
+ Lead the development and communication of HR metrics and scorecards.
+ Serve as the Ethics Officer, overseeing adherence to corporate policies and ethical standards.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
+ Design and implement a strategic recruitment plan to attract diverse, high-performing talent.
+ Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.

Compensation, Benefits & HRIS

Qualifications
