DEFINITION
Under general supervision, performs technical support offering guidance and assistance to end-users; manages the help desk ticketing system and resolves a wide range of technical issues; assists with the City's media production and telecommunication services; conducts maintenance and repairs for various computer systems; monitors city-wide application systems and network infrastructure; assists with special projects; and performs related duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties
- Responds promptly to incoming help desk requests from end users via phone, email, or ticketing system; effectively troubleshoots hardware, software, and network-related issues to minimize downtime
- Resets passwords and manages account access, ensuring adherence to security protocols
- Installs, configures, and upgrades desktop computers, servers, and associated hardware and software across diverse platforms; performs testing on specialized applications and security devices
- Processes service-related information in the automated work management system; maintains accurate records and files; documents progress and procedures performed; generates periodic systems reports
- Sets up and relocates workstations, kiosks, and computer-related equipment; installs and troubleshoots voice connections, cabling, and instruments; certifies each installed connection
- Performs basic hardware maintenance and repairs, including component replacements and peripheral installations
- Provides remote technical support to off-site staff members, addressing network connectivity and software access issues
- Identifies and escalates faults, performance issues, and security concerns in application systems and network infrastructure to the appropriate team for resolution; makes recommendations for resolution when appropriate
- Updates and maintains the City's website; implements, monitors, and maintains web services for City departments including online payment systems, electronic signatures, virtual meeting archives and geographic information systems
- Maintains detailed documentation of support activities, including issue resolution steps and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate efficient problem-solving
- Assists in production of video broadcasting; installs, sets-up, and troubleshoots audio-visual equipment and broadcast network; operates a variety of media and audio-visual equipment including cameras and microphones; makes recommendations for audio-visual equipment purchases
- Oversees the setup, operation, and shut down of virtual/hybrid public meeting systems
- Offers end-users training and guidance on technology best practices, new technologies, recording and supporting public meetings, and applications to enhance technical proficiency
- Participates in Information Technology (IT) projects by providing technical support, contributing to project planning, and ensuring successful implementation or completion
- Maintains accurate records of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses; updates inventory lists and performs periodic audits to the inventory database

Education and Experience:
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by specialized training in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Two (2) years of technical support, help desk assistance, or end user support.

The Information Systems Instructor reports directly to the department head. The faculty member's primary responsibilities are teaching courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Teach Microsoft Applications and related courses using effective teaching strategies. **Summary**
This posting will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. This posting does not necessarily reflect a current, open position. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%FTE) and will be made semester-by-semester, as teaching needs arise. This temporary Lecturer pool is anticipated to remain continuously active through August 2021, at which point all applications will be cleared from the pool. Applicants will be welcome to apply to future pools after that date.
**Description:**
The Business School at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) is seeking a pool of Lecturers in Information Systems from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%FTE) and will be made semester-by-semester as needed.
Duties include deliver and tailor instruction to a variety of language and cultural backgrounds in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes, prepare for each class ahead of time with balanced rigorous lesson plans, assess student progress according to curricular objectives and outcomes, adhere to program policies and procedures by reporting student offenses (plagiarism, cheating, absences, etc.).
**Salary and Benefits:**
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $4,915 to $5,360 depending upon course level.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
Master's or higher degree in Information Systems or closely related field. Recent significant professional, technical, or managerial experience in the discipline related to the teaching assignment; at a minimum, significant experience is interpreted as at least five years of duties and responsibilities.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
Prior experience teaching in Information Systems, Data Science or Computer Science.

The Director of Information Systems is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for high-level strategic planning and management of the organization's information systems. This role sets the strategic direction for IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring they align with business goals. The Director oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and security. Working closely with executives, the Director ensures IT initiatives support the company's overall strategy, manages large to medium-scale IT projects, and leads teams across various IT disciplines, including network operations, software development, security systems, platforms support, and data management. Additionally, the Director ensures regulatory compliance, manages vendor relationships, and drives digital innovation to maintain optimal stability and data integrity.
**Essential Functions**
+ Communicates and supports the hospital's mission, vision, and values as well as departmental goals to all staff. Demonstrates creativity, intelligence and discretion in planning, organizing and coordinating department functions.
+ Defines performance objectives and metrics for the department. Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology.

+ Evaluates and assesses hospital information system needs. Interacts and communicates with a variety of personal and groups including information systems staff, hospital administration, department managers and supervisors, physicians, vendors, hospital staff etc. as needed.
+ Maintains supports for report writing functions. Provides instructions and aids Support Coordinators in completion of reports. Receives, reviews and processes various reports and records including but not limited to, system output, status reports, clinical information, financial information, vendor contracts, sales records.
+ Provides periodic training classes for end users in applications as needed. Responsible for lesson development.
+ Ensures data security, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across the organization. Verifies information systems results by auditing systems applications.
