Requirements:

•  Experience in Mainframe system with Development and Support
•  Knowledge of Mainframe Modernization, Mainframe and Mid-range technologies integration
•  Programming experience with COBOL LE, DB2, JCL,  VSAM, and Online/Batch programming. 
•  Programming experience with MQ using CICS/Cobol and Batch/Cobol. 
•  Database: DB2, Oracle, MS-SQLServer
•  Knowledge of Corporate Credit Cards, DEF, SBF and VCF a plus

Responsibilities

•  Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
•  Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
•  Mentors other software engineers and coach team and automating tool stack.
•  Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
•  Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
•  Automates manual release activities
•  Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Insight Global is seeking a Mainframe Developer for one of our large financial clients in a variety of markets. This position will respond to technical questions from clients regarding all aspects of the scheduling software and its capabilities. Must be able to apply database changes with a high degree of accuracy in desired timeframes using established Release Management approval, deployment tools, and best practices. Must ascertain through research and knowledge the scope of issues and understand the impact while deciding and taking corrective actions in high risk circumstances. This position will review and test new releases and enhancements of the software code in order to verify advertised functionality. Additionally this position typically investigates and implements new functionality into production and performs related project work. The incumbent is charged with having a detailed knowledge of all uses of the automated scheduler in the host and agent environments and will be required to support instances of the software in development (IDE) and QA environments. Additionally this position will be tasked with supporting a number of in-house tools such as Corpcal, PODS, and Universal Rates Repository. This position will be required to provide 24x7 support. Manages products lifecycle to assure operational availability; gathers data and analyzes capacity and performance. Total exp. required - 07-10 years. This opening is to manage application support and maintenance (AMS) projects both on the customer side and to perform technical delivery. The scope of the project includes L2 & L3 ticket resolving (with code changes), change requests, minor enhancements, and new scope of work outside the current SOW. Need to take ownership of the project and ensure timely delivery.
