What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

Maintenance and Inspections:

• May perform or assist vendors with basic operations, testing, preventative maintenance or repairs/replacements of electrical equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, kitchen fixtures/equipment, UPS and back-up power generation systems, fire detection/suppression, etc.

• Performs basic repairs, preventative maintenance, minor cleaning and/or installation/tear downs of office furniture, assists with relocations of people, furniture and equipment, performs tear-down/reconstruction of furniture systems, light carpentry and painting work, light bulb replacements, and installations/removal of bulletin boards, whiteboards, TVs, pictures, etc., and conducts routine inspection of such items.

• Responsible for promptly addressing daily work orders and preventative maintenance tasks in the IWMS ticketing system in compliance with assigned SLAs.

• Perform routine inspections of the building and contents, identify and address concerns impacting building performance, employee comfort, and safety.

• May perform minor landscape repairs, property cleanup, and janitorial duties.

• Perform regulatory inspections on critical equipment and maintain service records

Operations and Project Collaboration:

• Respond to emergency calls, evaluate damages, and take necessary steps to protect customers, employees, and property.

• Assists with the execution of reconfigurations, furniture relocations, and setups for events.

• Contact and communicate with embedded contractors and external vendors supporting campus operations, tasks, and projects

• Inspect buildings, enter data into checklists, and track work orders

• Collaborate on campus-wide projects and emergency responses.

• Assists other facilities personnel as needed.

• Support office/workstation furniture modifications and facilities maintenance as needed.

• Responsible for maintaining/properly safeguarding assigned company assets, including, but not limited to, smartphone, laptop computer, building keys, shop tools, carts, etc.

System Management and Reporting:

• Demonstrates basic ability to utilize and review spreadsheets/other reporting tools and communicate within the Microsoft Office suite.

• maintain records, and provide support assisting the Environmental compliance group in our recycling locations.

This is semi-skilled work involving the responsibility for the care and maintenance of the facilities and serving as a courier to transport materials to and from the various facilities.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the buildings, to include but not limited to: making minor repairs to the electrical, plumbing and heating equipment of the buildings, installing locks, performing minor carpentry tasks, replacing light bulbs, installing switches, replacing fuses, replacing washers, and faucets, freeing clogged drains, repairing broken windows, etc.

Maintain grounds around Authority facilities keeping them clear of trash and weeds.

Perform cleaning duties when necessary.

Transport materials and supplies to and from all facilities on a scheduled basis.

Monitor and report any condition/situation which may be hazardous to staff and/ or clients, or which may cause building deterioration or defacing of physical appearance of facility in general.

Perform related work as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of the maintenance and minor repairs of heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical and electrical fixtures.

Some knowledge of carpentry.

Skill in the use of hand tools.

Ability to detect common causes of trouble in electrical, plumbing, and heating equipment.

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Sufficient physical strength to perform a variety of manual tasks.

Ability to drive an automobile and keep it in good working order.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Overview: This position includes both mechanical and electrical aspects of troubleshooting and repair work. Performs skilled maintenance, repair, adjustment and minor construction work in the facility. Position Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems and equipment within the facility. UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position involves housekeeping and cleaning activities in various areas of the facility. The work schedule is Monday - Friday with occasional night and weekend overtime. On-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities:

• Performing housekeeping operations using various equipment
• Cleaning and stocking restrooms, kitchen, and breakroom areas
• Removing trash and maintaining window cleanliness
• Dusting and relocating furniture as directed
• Performing cleaning operations in office areas, production floor, and outside of the facility
• Other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 16 years
• High school education or GED equivalent preferred
• Ability to work independently and operate floor cleaning equipment
• Effective communication and ability to work overtime as needed
