Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Personally interact with Great Wolf Lodge guests
  • Willingness to perform child-friendly promotional activities on-site and in the community

  • Perform all branded experiences consistently according to Standard Operating procedures
  • Perform high energy brand events/experiences throughout the shift including Storytime, Dance Party, Yoga, Arts and Crafts, Master Magi Ceremony and other Great Wolf Branded experiences.
  • Interact with families while leading different hands on activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, board games, etc…
  • Responsible for all aspects of Character Appearances and Entertainment at the property including:
  • Perform character appearance duties according to Great Wolf Lodge standards; learn and perform signature character moves and non-verbal communication strategies. Characters do not speak under any circumstances
  • Act as a Guide for characters to and from designated meet and greet locations. Guides are the 'voice' of the character, so must have the ability and will be expected to converse casually and appropriately with guests
  • Responsible for character costume operations including care, cleaning, maintenance, etc.
  • Commit entirely to the assigned scheduled opportunities for specific characters ("Wiley", "Violet", or other scheduled character) to appear at on-site and off-site events
  • All character and guide duties are interchangeable -- it is expected that each Pack Member is willing and able to fulfill both roles as needed
  • Participate in seasonal event activities throughout the year.
  • Learn new programming multiple times a year including, but not limited to, dances, crafts or themed events.
  • When not on break, act as though you are on stage at all times, effectively entertaining Pack Members, families and children through public performance
  • Perform and/or provide support to all necessary community appearances. This includes but is not limited to sponsors, charities, tradeshows, media and private functions
  • Assist Entertainment team with inventory of event & activity materials
  • Maintain a safe, clean and professional environment during the organization, coordination and production of branded experiences


Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Comfortable speaking, dancing, and performing in front of large groups of people multiple times a day.
  • Some High School education or equivalent
  • Flexibility regarding scheduling based on business demands including evenings, weekends, and Holidays
  • Proven customer service skills and communication skills; able to read and interpret English language manuals relating to safety, operations, and procedures
  • Successful completion of a criminal background and drug screen


Desired Qualifications & Traits

  • Previous experience in a related field such as Entertainment, Dance, or Theater.

Six Flags Over Texas is looking for a dedicated, organized individual to join the Entertainment Technical Services Team. As an Entertainment Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the load in and load out of various show products and equipment, running assigned tracks for stage productions and special events, assisting with the installation and maintenance of all sets, props, sound, lighting and video equipment as needed, and working closely with the Technical Services team and Production Staff on any technical services projects as assigned. This individual will also ensure the smooth and safe operation of the assigned shows and special events.

Perform daily operational duties to assist the department in the running of assigned show tracks. Perform regular inspections of all scenic elements, audio and lighting systems, and special effects (fog machines). Repair and correct any issues quickly and safely to ensure a safe guest and team experience. Assist the Technical Services team with new builds and repairs, load ins and load outs, system maintenance and other projects as assigned. Effectively communicate with Entertainment Technical Services Leadership on any issues or safety concerns as they arise. Operate various tools (including power tools), vehicles and equipment as assigned. Adhere to safe work practices and policies that promote a safe work culture for the department and park. Must be available to work weekends and all technical rehearsals, as assigned. Must be available to work extended hours during specific times of the year. Must be able to follow directions provided by the Technical Leadership team.

Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to work flexible hours on weekends during show and event operations as well as during tech rehearsals as needed. Previous technical experience in the Entertainment/ Theme Park Industry preferred. Must have some experience in carpentry, construction, or set building as well as some sound and/ or lighting experience. Should be proficient in the use of hand tools and various construction equipment or be able to learn quickly. Should have a basic knowledge of digital audio and lighting signal flow and be willing to learn the specific equipment used for each show and special event. Strong motivated team player with a strong ability to multi-task. Strong, verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work on projects independently as well as with a team. Must ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, park policies, and regulations. Must be able to move or lift tools or equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Should be able to work at heights of 20 feet or more and occasionally work at heights of up to 100 feet via catwalks, ladders and personnel lifts. Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles, if assigned.

Reports to the Technical Services Supervisor or Lead and/ or the venue stage manager during the run of production or event. Must be able to perform all other duties assigned or necessary to support the park operation as a whole.

What It Takes To Succeed:
  1. Experience with industrial vehicles or watercraft, such as a high reach, forklift, scissor lift, barge, john boat preferred
  2. Basic understanding of the following disciplines: electrical theory, basic carpentry, and handling/setup of pyrotechnic materials preferred
  3. Ability to read and interpret lighting plots, schematics, and blueprints preferred
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook equal to business needs preferred
  5. Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred
What Else Is Important:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years old
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a theme park/theatrical environment with specific training in at least one of the following areas: Lighting, Staging, Video, Audio or Equipment Repair (moving lights, pumps, motors, fixtures, pneumatics)

The Amazon Toys & Entertainment, Entertainment & Character team is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Program Manager to drive strategic initiatives and organizational mechanisms. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure execution of strategic initiatives while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. In this role you will own organization wide mechanisms for: managing key initiatives, goal reporting, business reviews, identifying new opportunities that will shape the future of Entertainment & Character business, and more.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive comprehensive metrics and goal reporting across the organization.
- Drive end-to-end program management for strategic growth initiatives, including UX experimentation and performance tracking.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify untapped opportunities in the entertainment and character space.
- Create and execute detailed program roadmaps, including stakeholder coordination, milestone tracking, leadership communication, and risk management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Product, Business and Operations teams.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive strategic planning and organizational effectiveness.

The Entertainment & Character team represents the "Entertainment" side of Toys & Entertainment. We work with the world's largest Entertainment and Gaming studios to develop customer engagement strategies that drive brand awareness, affinity, loyalty, and conversion.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
