Job Description Summary: This role will serve as the Compliance Officer for the Small and Medium Business organizations responsible for second line compliance advisory and oversight globally. This role will support business initiatives and priorities related to PayPal Solopreneur and Zettle products. A core component of this role includes strong knowledge of applicable Federal requirements such as Reg E and UDAAP to provide compliance advisory support on new initiatives and oversight of core aspects of our Compliance program such as applicable issues, incidents, and regulatory changes. This role will work directly with Product and cross-functional senior leadership to provide coordinated advisory services and support of business initiatives and priorities on behalf of Global compliance. In your day-to-day role you will: Foster close relationships with cross functional stakeholders and work collaboratively to enable compliant and customer centric solutions and experiences. Define compliance requirements and ensure they are fully understood by stakeholders and integrated in product development lifecycle and roadmaps. Provide subject matter expertise regarding identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing compliance risk through issue and incident management oversight, risk assessment, reg change management, and complaints monitoring. Partner with the business to understand their needs and assist in identifying and developing process and control improvements. Collaborate with team members in the identification and assessment of compliance risks associated with new products and services. Support the intake and review of Product related initiatives, including new products, enhancements, regional expansion and deprecation to ensure identification and mitigation of all risks and that regulatory requirements are met. Support ongoing and targeted compliance monitoring and/or testing, by regulators, internal audit, first line testers, and second line testers. Identify and influence action across potential areas of increased compliance risk, propose solutions to resolve issues, and provide guidance for future avoidance of similar issues. Provide regular updates and presentations to senior leadership on emerging risks, trends and regulatory changes impacting their products, services, and markets. Provide input into the development of risk and compliance reviews for senior leadership, noting key areas of focus and progress against established goals. Escalate timely and actionable information to key stakeholders. What do you need to bring: Experience in Compliance, Internal Controls, Operational Risk, or similar work for financial services, banking, or payment systems, in supporting business partners through the various stages of product/process development, from ideation to launch. Experience in Compliance supporting Merchant products is a plus as well as experience providing product specific compliance advisory support. Excellent ability to analyze risks in complex business processes and recommend requirements and controls to mitigate those risks. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strengths in influencing, conflict management, and negotiation. Extensive experience in partnering with and counseling senior business clients, particularly in the context of a rapidly changing environment. Excellent presentation and project management skills with the ability to successfully work multiple issues at one time. High energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to work in a growing and changing environment. As a Software Quality Engineer - Payment Solutions, you will take ownership of the functionality, reliability, and quality of Elo's payment software systems. You will play a vital role in both manual and automated testing processes while supporting our growing need for L3 testing, automation, and certification acceleration. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and product owners both onshore and offshore.
- Own quality control procedures for Elo's payment software solutions, including new feature validation and regression.
- Lead and execute L3 Certification Testing, increasing our capacity to handle concurrent L3 projects which will help accelerate certifications.
- Work as a Pay App QA Engineer, collaborating with engineering and product teams on app changes needed for processor or customer requirements (e.g., P2PE, SSF).
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase test efficiency and coverage.
- Utilize tools such as Testing Robots to improve the speed and reliability of L3 testing.
- Ensure test coverage across a wide range of scenarios, including processor-specific and compliance-driven use cases.
- Document and track defects, working with developers on resolution and verification.
- Communicate clearly across product, engineering, and QA teams regarding test progress, risks, and issues.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
