Director, Product Development Overview

The Director, Credit Products, will support the development, management, and execution of the consumer credit product line strategy (PLS) globally, reporting to the VP, Credit Products. This role is responsible for developing and enhancing CVPs in line with the PLS based on the latest consumer insights and market landscape to ensure product competitiveness globally. This role will also work with the commercialization team to drive the commercial success of consumer credit execution and commercialization of PLS/CVPs, including high-priority RFP and customer engagements.

· Develop and maintain up-to-date consumer and market insights and intelligence to identify PLS/CVP opportunities globally.

· Support the relevant research activities that inform both the current and future credit products at a global, regional, or country level that will enhance existing product lines.

· Support the development and management of the product governance framework and forum.

· Lead the effort in managing and enhancing product operations and core product requirements globally by partnering with key functional stakeholders such as legal, compliance, franchise, and engineering etc.

· Support the development of differentiated value propositions to meet the current and emerging needs of consumers and customers; identify critical internal and external benefits and platforms that will be required to fulfill the end value proposition, including the definition of a Minimum Viable Product.

Job Summary:

Belden's Product Development Technician assists Development Engineers in the administration, maintenance, design and testing of new products and related intellectual property and provides technical assistance to other departments as needed. Assisting Development Engineers with approximately $40 Million of product, you will have the duty to cover products manufactured in all plants of the Belden Americas. Responsibilities:

• Administer Lean Daily Management (LDM) of quote, orders, tech data, drawings, document revisions forms, plant transfer and plant off-load Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and other related activities within the department.
• Meet customer-defined specifications by understanding basic design issues, providing technical data sheets, drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Participate in the control and maintenance of Belden Products by establishing and protecting intellectual property, and preserving product design rules, department work procedures, and product engineering change orders and deviations.
• Team up with engineers and lab technicians to quantify product performance for new designs, assure product compliance, and identify Belden's manufacturing capabilities and shop floor technologies.

Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Engineering, R&D Validation, Product Development, and other plant and office personnel. Must have working knowledge of computer software used at Hutchinson, mechanical engineering, technical work, molding processes, and cure optimization. Must understand mechanical engineering, product development, and engineer testing in a manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

Preferred Associates degree or work experience equivalent; and must have a positive work history.

Basic level math skills

Basic level computer skills

Ability to be highly motivated and attentive. Being able to perform the task given in a timely manner. As well as having the ability to use information given and common sense to draw a valid conclusions. Able to communicate effectively in a team based setting.
