Summary
As Production Support , you'll help produce the most consistent and highest quality products in the industry by performing all job duties efficiently and effectively. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
- Quickly prepare and accurately log ingredients, rotate stations on the fly and properly operate all equipment for production
- Ability to operate under current state guidelines including compliant storage and handling of all products
- Maintain high-quality standards during shifts including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced
- Ability to work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload metal or fabricated parts for powder coat painting.
- Hang parts securely on the paint line prior to the coating process.
- Prepare parts for painting by washing, drying, or otherwise prepping surfaces.
- Inspect parts for quality before and after painting, identifying defects or irregularities.

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, Production Support is responsible for assembling and moving partially finished, or finished products by performing the following duties. - Participate in all plant safety initiatives and abide by corporate and local policies.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Actively engage in lean manufacturing principles and techniques. This includes, but is not limited to, actively participating in kaizen events when requested, continuously seeking improvement in their work area, and cooperating to ensure Cook Compression remains competitive.
- Housekeeping and general organization of work area.

- Verify print for required operations
- Deburr parts as needed using supplied tools and/or equipment.

- Cut clearance and assemble with mating parts per print
- Use saw to clearance plastic rings as needed
- Letter rings as required
- Split tangent rings into three (3) segments

As a Production Support team member, you will play a key role in the organization's efficient operation ensuring that goals are met surrounding safety, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery providing a great customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities- Receives, inspects and stocks inbound raw materials for production
- Assembles customer orders and packages to specifications as required
- Performs data entry for processed fulfilled orders
- Loads completed order products onto trucks for delivery
- Completes bill of ladings for outbound shipments
- Operates Forklifts, Electric Overhead Cranes and Warehouse Tractor
- Operates Rail Car Mover and moves and unloads rail cars
- Operates shear for sample testing
- Assembles, pallets, and skids per order requirements
- Maintains housekeeping in the work area
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
- 3 years or more experience in warehouse setting preferred
- Able to read a tape measure down to a 1/16th of an inch
- Steel industry background preferred
- Overhead crane experience preferred
- Experience loading & unloading steel products preferred
- Experience with mobile equipment preferred
- Successful pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Job Description:
This opening is for a Production Support position within the Logistics organization.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Experience within Logistics, including Warehousing, Receiving & Shipping
- Experience within a production environment, including material handling
- Experience with operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, fuel trucks, cranes
- High School diploma and at least one year of direct work experience
- Minimum 6 months experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
