Preferred Qualifications:

The Department of Pediatrics of Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell seeks a board certified/board eligible Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) .
This position requires someone with strong clinical, operational, and leadership skills to join our group of 40 neonatologists, 12 Neonatal-Perinatal fellows, 12 advanced practice neonatal care providers, and a large multidisciplinary team of NICU care professionals. Our care model includes in-house clinical responsibility in both high acuity (level III and IV NICUs at North Shore University Hospital and CCMC) and lower acuity (level II NICUs on Long Island) settings. The successful candidate will participate in academic and quality improvement activities and actively participate in Neonatal Service Line initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and Neonatal-Perinatal Board Eligibility or Certification. They must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
The CCMC NICU, ranked 27th in the country by US News and World Report in 2023, enjoys the full support of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists representing all disciplines in our busy children’s hospital. Our unit offers all neonatal services, including high frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, ECMO, advanced nutrition strategies, and both air and ground neonatal transport. There is significant opportunity to teach fellows, residents, and medical students. Academic appointment at The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with experience. The compensation package is competitive and includes salary, fringe benefits, malpractice insurance and CME time.
The Northwell Health Neonatal Service Line includes 10 hospitals with obstetric services that deliver approximately 30,000 babies each year. Eight of these have a level II, III, or IV NICU with in-house Neonatology coverage. Northwell hosts two Regional Perinatal Centers that are fully integrated in clinical and quality activities.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area’s first hospital designed exclusively for children. Today, it is the largest pediatric teaching hospital in the region, treating over 230,000 children per year and serving 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. It is the quaternary pediatric medical center of Northwell Health and the only Level-1 Pediatric Trauma Center on Long Island. The Dean – (D-Acad) at Schiller is responsible for leading the general academic management responsibility for the faculty. The Dean – Academic will be responsible for leading the successful formation and delivery of the academic plan as part of delivering the University Strategy. The post holder will contribute to leading the overall strategic direction of the University, taking on specific responsibilities related to effective delivery and improvements of the academic provisions. They will also be involved in external representation of the University for the purposes of growing income and contributing to the University Development activities.
Responsibilities- To act as line manager for the leadership team within the Faculty.
- To be accountable for the management, performance and development of the Faculty’s academic staff.
- To manage the delivery of services by support staff within the Faculty on a day to day basis.
- To lead and proactively develop all Faculty relations with alumni.
- To be accountable for the implementation of University policy and procedures within the Faculty, including implementing equality and diversity aspirations.
- To lead the promotion of the Faculty on behalf of the University to external stakeholders.
- To lead the Faculty in developing and implementing its academic plan for excellence in education and the achievement of agreed Faculty performance targets including finance and tuition fee income.

- An earned Doctorate degree from an accredited institution
- Proven experience and demonstrated excellence in higher education and administration

- Either native English speaker or proficiency level of English competency

ResponsibilitiesDivision of Hospital Medicine with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine to join their team. Mayo Clinic Florida is a 320-bed academic hospital and destination medical center for oncology, transplant, and stroke care for Northeast Florida, with a strong focus on complex medical care.
Candidates can look forward to joining a dynamic and diverse group of Hospitalists with interests and skills that help support the practice clinically, academically, administratively, and in research. Teamwork, compassion, respect, integrity, innovation, excellence, and healing are some of the values candidates will need to uphold. It is preferred candidates have at least one additional year of training in advance of application (internal medicine chief resident or hospital medicine fellowship trained family medicine) or 1 year of inpatient practice experience.
- Variable day schedule (7 on- 7 off, 5 on- 5 off). Additional shifts including night coverage and admitter shifts, opportunities in Advanced Care at Home.
- 16-18 Patient contacts/day
- 5 Hospitalist services with opportunities to engage with learners at different levels
- Additional educational opportunities may become available over time
- Closed ICU managed by dedicated Intensivists
- Procedural and Point-of-Care Ultrasound skills preferred, but not required
- Opportunities to contribute and participate in clinical research
