Primary responsibility is to lead a team of Process Improvement Senior Engineers/Engineers helping Sentara make significant changes in clinical or operational processes with a strategic or operational focus. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering required.
Certification/Licensure: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required. Rapid Improvement, Reengineering, Process Redesign, CQI, Business Development, Benchmarking, Productivity Improvements, Technology Breakthroughs, Prosci preferred.
Experience: 5 years of experience required in process improvement engineering and mapping. Experience with workflow redesign, labor management and productivity, change management, Vizient benchmarking, project management, and data analysis preferred. Must understand the operational, financial, and human resource implications of large-scale change efforts. Previous successful experience with large-scale change efforts required.

This role supports a collaborative environment across regional and central offices statewide, with a strong focus on desktop support, remote troubleshooting, and system administration.
Position Overview
As a Tier 2 Operational Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering second-level technical support for hardware, software, and system issues across all CEDC-supported offices. You will assist with deployments, remote configurations, account administration, and ensure adherence to Commonwealth security and operational policies. Your ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues efficiently will be essential to providing high-quality customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support including troubleshooting, imaging, installation, and configuration of PCs, laptops, printers, and scanners.
- Utilize tools such as SCCM Remote Tools, PRTG, Remote Desktop, PowerShell, and Active Directory for remote issue resolution.
- Manage deployments, including setup of new hardware and surplus of old equipment.
- Administer computer accounts, resource mailboxes, groups, and distribution lists via account management tools.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with Commonwealth Information Security Office (CISO) policies.
- Research and report on CISO software initiatives and their operational impacts on CEDC IT systems.
- Work independently on assigned tasks through the ServiceNow system and direct supervisor instructions.
- Prioritize and manage multiple technical tasks while maintaining effective communication with end users.
- Support desktop moves, software installations, data migrations, and basic network resource troubleshooting.
- Experience with SCCM deployment processes and configurations.
- Experience managing server folder permissions and network shares.
- Ability to work independently and follow established support processes and standards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both software and hardware contexts.
- Proficiency in using remote management tools and scripting for issue resolution.
- 2+ years of experience supporting Commonwealth of Pennsylvania customers.
- Familiarity with Commonwealth policies, procedures, and IT service delivery standards.
