**POSITION PURPOSE**

STS Technical Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Controller to join the team supporting Kalitta Charters in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In this role, you'll manage off-site maintenance and scheduling for our client's fleet, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

As an Aircraft Maintenance Controller, you will:

• Liaise Continuously with outstation maintenance facilities to monitor aircraft status, total times, inspections, time changes, and work requests.
  
• Provide Technical Assistance to maintenance employees and contract agencies to resolve complex technical issues.
  
• Authorize and Track MELs, CDLs, and carry-over items; maintain thorough daily logs and troubleshoot documentation.
  
• De-Brief Flight Crews and mechanics at the end of daily operations to identify and address maintenance needs.
  
• Coordinate with Flight Operations to manage aircraft movement for scheduled maintenance, maintenance actions, and required downtimes.
  
• Project Spare Requirements for all Rotable components and track delivery timelines.
  
• Communicate with Leadership on all maintenance performed, including via electronic reports or other methods requested by the Director of Maintenance.
  
• Schedule Maintenance to comply with company requirements, ensuring all necessary parts and personnel meet the aircraft on time for "A" checks and other maintenance activities.
  
• Make Final Decisions on line maintenance actions, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
  
• Conduct Quality Control Reviews of deferrals from previous shifts for accuracy and completeness.
  
• Update Operations and Quality Departments on maintenance status changes to ensure real-time aircraft status is communicated to Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling, Sales, and Quality Control.
  
• Organize Maintenance Paperwork for Quality Control review, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Education : High School Diploma or GED
  
• Licenses : A&P Certificate and a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  
• Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in large fixed-wing aircraft maintenance. Boeing 727 and 737 experience preferred.

**Job Description:**
This mechanic will be required to troubleshoot systems, conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft systems and components, including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. Mechanic will apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and airworthiness. **POSITION PURPOSE**
Performs preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment in accordance with standards and regulations.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**

+ Performs preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment and complies with 14 CFR, manufactures specifications, the GMM, Company policy and procedures as well as other methods accepted by the FAA and OSHA when accomplishing maintenance.
+ Performs maintenance mechanic duties in all areas inside and outside the hangar as well as at the airport terminal.
+ Troubleshoots all aircraft systems. Executes maintenance work orders.
+ Uses tools, equipment and test apparatus necessary to assure completion of the work in accordance with accepted industry practices. Verifies that all calibrated tooling is current on its calibration before use. Verifies materials and parts used are of a serviceable condition.
+ Verifies that each part or component is effective for the aircraft on which it will be installed.
+ Adheres to material handling and control procedures specified in GMM and by the equipment manufacturers. Initiates material requests.
+ Evaluates the area and equipment that will be utilized to ensure that safety is not compromised before performing any maintenance action. Applies safety first at all times.
+ Maintains a clean, safe working environment throughout the work shift.
