Objective
As a Remote Application Engineer, your primary goal is to elevate the customer and sales team's experience by providing high-value product and technical application expertise throughout the sales cycle. You will assist regional sales managers and rep sales partners with technical support while also collaborating with marketing teams to develop content for product marketing, training, and promotional materials. Additionally, you will create training resources and lead training sessions, maintaining a strong sense of ownership over assigned responsibilities.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Develop deep expertise in our core Yokogawa T&M productspower analyzers, optical spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition through hands-on training, experimentation, and troubleshooting.
- Provide world-class pre-sales (virtual or in-person demonstrations) and post-sales technical support (startup assistance, case management, and online chat).
- Assist and educate customers on product applications, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure a high level of satisfaction via case management and online chat.
- Gain subject matter expertise in industry applications that utilize our core T&M products under the mentorship of senior colleagues, including senior application engineers, product managers, and sales engineers.
- Support field activities such as trade shows, customer training, and application-intensive customer visits (travel required, 14 overnight stays).
- Collaborate with product managers and senior colleagues to create marketing content (white papers, application notes, demonstration guides, product training materials, and videos) and develop industry-focused demonstration hardware.
- Take on special projects beyond the standard job scope, demonstrating initiative and readiness for advancement within the business unit.
- Develop in-depth understanding of internal business processes by assisting customer service and support teams (order entry, production control, & calibration) with technical inquiries and special orders.
- Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with customers, sales reps, and colleagues through phone, email, virtual, and in-person interactions.
- Lead product training sessions and contribute to marketing content tailored to specific applications and industries.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for Junior Application Engineers, leveraging deep technical, product, and application expertise to guide and train them in resolving complex customer cases.
- Primarily remote, with travel required for customer visits, sales support, and product assistance.

Qualification:
Must have real-world technical engineering experience.

Education:
Bachelors or masters in electrical, mechanical, optical, or equivalent four-year STEM degree.
Prior Experience:
Preferably 2-4 years of experience in T&M (either in a role that uses test equipment at a customer company, or in a company that manufactures T&M instruments). Any programming and automation experience (using Python, VB etc.) in T&M industry would be a plus.
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000 + Benefits

Position SummaryThe Field Applications Engineer is responsible for technical support to customer's PCB design and manufacturing groups. This position will support design activities of, primarily, Flex & Rigid-Flex PCB designs with Aerospace and defense OEMs, provide feedback on routing and pad lay out techniques, offer trade-off analysis of PCB stack-ups, material selection, reliability, signal integrity and other electrical and mechanical requirements based on the customers end use application.

What's the role?
As a Field Applications Engineer, you'll partner with our customers and the ZEISS sales team to provide both pre-sales and post-sales support. This includes delivering product demonstrations, offering technical consultation, and ensuring customers can effectively use our hardware and software solutions.
Your work will involve a mix of activities - from formal and custom training sessions to on-site and remote support, as well as programming and measurement services. This is a consultative, customer-facing role that requires professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Here's what you'll do:
Provide technical consultation to field sales teams and the Industrial Metrology (IM) dealer network on advanced applications and systems
Ensure accurate technical information is shared with the sales force
Focus on advanced applications and introduce new ZEISS technologies to the North American market
Deliver technical training to sales teams and dealer partners
Plan, prepare, and conduct high-quality customer demonstrations (in-house and on-site)
Provide after-sales technical support to help customers successfully use ZEISS systems
Deliver customer training as needed to support Applications Engineering staff
Support all Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology systems and respond to software/application inquiries
Assist with software and system testing for product development; document performance reports
Contribute applications expertise to projects, including analyzing inspection needs and quoting part programming costs
Estimate Gage R&R results and implement quoted application items on-site
Support IT-related issues, including Windows OS, networking, and database management
Apply knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Perform other duties as required
Do you qualify?
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics (or equivalent work experience)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong technical writing skills for clear, concise reports
Knowledge of 3D mathematics and programming in modern scientific languages
Excellent verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to audiences of all sizes
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently from problem to solution
Ability to learn on your own and find creative solutions to customer measurement challenges
Self-motivation and comfort working independently
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and related software tool
Compensation:
Annual pay range: $66,000 - $83,000
Working Environment:
Meet required qualifications to work with ITAR designated data.
Ability to lift 50lbs from floor to table height.
Ability to work flexible hours (nights and weekends).
Must be a team player across the organization.

Role Summary
Responsible for supporting the adoption and deployment of comapny's cutting-edge CXL-based computational memory solutions. Major responsibilities include engaging with customers and
partners to understand their technical requirements and ensuring seamless integration and
exceptional performance of company's products.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer/Partner Engagement CPU and Server Validation Process management
o Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, developing and executing
comprehensive device validation plans for company's CXL computational memory
solutions.
o Collaborate with customers to understand their system architectures, workloads,
and challenges, delivering tailored recommendations for seamless integration and
optimal performance.
o Manage test equipment setup, experimental planning, results analysis, and the end-
to-end validation process at customer sites, ensuring rapid adoption and high
reliability of company's devices.
- Product Support and Training
o Conduct system-level debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for
customer-reported issues.
o Develop and deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and documentation to
help customers effectively utilize company's computational memory.
o Assist in the creation of application notes, user guides, and best practices
documentation.
- Cross-functional Leadership and Technical Sensing
o Work closely with company's engineering and product development teams to provide
feedback on customer requirements, feature requests, and potential product
improvements.
o Partner with the marketing and business development teams to support go-to-
market strategies, including technical demos and proof-of-concept projects.
o Stay updated on emerging trends in computing systems (e.g. CXL, CPU, memory, and
near data processing) technologies to proactively address market demands and
challenges.
Key Requirement
- Minimum Qualifications:
o Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
(or equivalent experience).
o At least 10 years of experience in technical and commercial roles, preferably within
CXL, Near-Data Processing, AI, or memory industries.
o Demonstrated ability to thrive in team-oriented environments while also working
independently, especially in high-pressure or ambiguous situations.
o Exceptional leadership, communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal
skills.
o Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
o Effective problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
o Willingness and ability to travel regularly to South Korea and occasionally to other
countries.
- Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience in field application engineering, technical marketing, or technical
specialist roles.
o Comprehensive knowledge of both hardware and software in AI, including
technical, commercial, and product/application expertise.
