Mainstay Capital Management is an independent, fee-only, Registered Investment Advisor with $4.0 billion in assets under management. Mainstay Capital Management is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor for our Troy, MI office and one for our Grand Blanc, MI office to help service our expanding client base. Our advisors are paid a base salary plus a generous quarterly bonus and other bonuses. Base salary ranges from $0,000 to 120,000 (dependent on experience level). Additional annual bonuses range from 30,000 to 130,000. We also provide a generous signing bonus.
We do not have sales targets. This is not a high pressure sales environment. It is not commission based. We take exceptional care of our clients, and because we do so, we have significant referral business. We are a company that believes in taking care of clients first and the rest will follow.

Position responsibilities include:
- Managing existing client relationships.
- Developing new client relationships.
- This position is client relationship focused with no product sales or quotas to meet. Previous book/AUM not necessary.
- Candidate is responsible for understanding and communicating client's goals, simplifying complicated financial concepts for clients, and ensuring the firm is meeting the client's broad range of financial needs.
- Candidate must be a flexible, open-minded team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Bachelors degree preferred (preference in finance or business).
- Minimum three years of work experience investment/finance industry.
- Solid understanding of financial markets and investments.
- Ideal candidate has experience advising clients with retirement planning, asset allocation, estate planning, employee benefits, tax planning and insurance.
- Industry related designations (or working towards) such as CFP, CFA, or CPA preferred.
- Experience with a retirement planning software program such as RightCapital or MoneyGuide Pro preferred.
- Ambition, high energy, and strong desire to succeed.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

The Financial Consultant provides financial planning and investment advice to members of the credit union. The main goal of the Financial Consultant is to help credit union members maintain a good balance of investment earnings, assets and an acceptable risk level. Major Duties and Responsibilities- Meets with members and examines members' current financial situation through series of questions and analysis of current investment strategies.
- Keeps apprised of and, when applicable, conforms to current financial market trends, strategies and product offerings and regulations and provides objective advice based on this information.
- On a regular basis, organize and deliver financial and economic training to the credit union retail branch staff, mortgage bankers, commercial lenders and financial institution leadership.
- Provides advice on how members can best manager daily expenses and fund specific projects while maximizing profits.

EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree, with major course work in Business, Finance/Accounting or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess the necessary financial knowledge in insurance, retirement accounts, tax services and financing accounts.

Base Salary Range
52,000.00 - 64,000.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

- Educate clients on our top-down portfolio strategy, their investments, important market events and competitive landscape

- CFA (passed any level) and Series 65 (we will help you obtain upon starting)
- 4+ years of experience with portfolio management and client relationship building
- Bachelor's degree

- $90,000 - $40,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
- Eligible for discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance

The Investment Counselor Wealthbuilder opportunity is designed to prepare qualified candidates for a lifelong career in the financial services industry. Through our specialized training, Fisher Investments offers an elevated finance and capital markets education program building a foundation and understanding of our unique approach.
Your journey will begin by obtaining the Series 65, where you will receive hands-on training from our dedicated training team. Once you have obtained the necessary license, the training doesnt stop there. You will work directly with your assigned mentor to further develop an understanding of the technology and platforms we use and how we service our clients.
This role is a jumping off point to a licensed service role within our Private Client Group. As you progress, and hit important milestones within the first two years, the opportunity for additional responsibilities will grow including the potential to work your way up to our Premier Wealth Management team where you will manage your own roster of our high-net-worth clients.
The Day-to-Day
- Work collaboratively with your team, serving clients at a team level while being the liaison between our Investment Policy Committee (IPC) and our US clients

As a Financial Consultant, you will collaborate with our current clients while simultaneously developing new relationships across various client types (such as high net worth individuals, endowments & foundations, businesses, and qualified plans). Our current investment services include: retirement planning/cash-flow modeling, estate plan reviews and recommendations, tax planning, and insurance advice.
You will be part of an advisory team which will maintain regular contact with clients and ensure each client remains on track to achieving their unique goals. This is a consultative sales role with an expectation to promote our advisory capabilities and investment solutions to grow our base over time. You will report to the Managing Director of Wealth Management.
We are currently searching in all territories in the US.
Responsibilities- Work to establish a level of trust and confidence with our client to serve as the main advisor for their wealth management needs
- Discuss client investment goals with consideration given to risk tolerance, asset allocation preferences, cash flow requirements, tax sensitivity, and potential life events
- Work with the advisory team to implement investment plans and coordinate adjustments
- Monitor client investment portfolios and performance
- Communicate insights for clients regarding essential contributors and detractors
- Advise high net worth clients as needed and consult mid-market institutional clients
- Coordinate the creation of detailed wealth management plans for individuals
- Organize the creation consulting reports for institutions
- Help present plans to clients effectively and clearly
- Actively seek new business opportunities
- Develop essential knowledge of our financial planning software and technology
- Clearly and regularly track all client and prospect interactions using our CRM (Salesforce)
- Participate in regular internal meetings
- Work on a schedule that best suits client needs
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years' relevant experience
- Series 6, 63, & 65 or Series 7 & 66 required or willing to pursue upon hire
- Certified Financial PlannerTM or comparable professional designation preferred, or the willingness to pursue a comparable designation
- Experience with Salesforce.com, Sales Navigator, and LinkedIn is preferred
