As a **Food Production Worker** at MercyOne, you will prepare and serve all meals for patients according to prescribed diets, adhering to state and federal regulations. + Prepares entrees, starches, bakery items, soups, salads, vegetables, texture-modified food according to menu and projected needs. Produces high-quality products by adhering to standardized recipes, methods and seasoning specifications. Ensures food is prepared at specified times.
+ Provides services in the cafeteria representing the organization in a positive and professional manner.
+ Measures and mixes ingredients according to approved recipes and methods using blenders, mixers, grinder, slicers, knives, etc.
+ Maintains clean equipment and work area. Follows schedules for cleaning equipment and notifies leadership of equipment operating problems. Observes infection control practices at all times.
**Schedule:**
+ Full-time, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week)
+ Varied shifts based on departmental needs
+ Weekend and holiday rotation required
**General Requirements:**
+ Practical experience in healthcare setting is desired.
+ One-year of experience is preferred.
+ Must be able to calculate and prepare diets accurately from standardized recipes for patients/residents and staff.

SUMMARY
The Cold Food Production Agent is responsible for preparing, organizing, and assembling cold food items and catering carts according to airline and customer specifications. This role supports Sky Café operations by ensuring food items are handled safely, maintained at proper temperatures, and prepared within required timelines to meet flight schedules. The Cold Food Production Agent works in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment and must follow all food safety, sanitation, airline, and company requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare, portion, assemble, and organize cold food items according to airline specifications, menu requirements, and production schedules.
· Build and stock catering carts, trays, and containers in accordance with customer loading diagrams and established procedures.
· Work in refrigerated and temperature-controlled environments to maintain required food safety standards.
· Verify food items, quantities, labels, and cart contents for accuracy before release to the next stage of operations.
· Place cold packs or other temperature-control items as needed to maintain the cold chain.
· Inspect food products for quality, freshness, packaging accuracy, and proper labeling.
· Follow established food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures at all times.
· Clean, sanitize, and maintain work areas, equipment, trays, utensils, carts, and containers according to company procedures.
· Unload, sort, and process returned carts, equipment, and food service items as needed.
· Dispose of waste and recoverable items properly and in accordance with company and customer requirements.
· Report equipment issues, food quality concerns, safety hazards, or operational delays to leadership.
· Comply with all Sky Café, airline, airport, food safety, and safety management policies.
· Work closely with team members, leads, supervisors, and managers to complete production assignments within required timeframes.Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
· Must be able to obtain airport, airline, and/or government-required credentials, clearances, or permits, as applicable.
· Must be able to successfully complete required food safety, airline-specific, and company training.
· Must be able to work in refrigerated or temperature-controlled environments for extended periods.
· Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
· Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules as required.
· Previous food production, catering, kitchen, warehouse, or airline catering experience is preferred but not required.
· Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to follow safety procedures and food handling guidelines
· Previous experience in airline catering, food production, quality control, or a related field preferred
· Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts

**Job Summary**
The **General Production Associate** is an entry-level role responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations. Team members rotate through multiple production positions to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality products, and safe plant operations. This role is essential to meeting production goals while maintaining strict standards for safety, food safety, and quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Inspect products continuously to ensure all quality standards are met
+ Remove damaged or defective products, baskets, or materials and properly store or dispose of them
+ Perform visual inspections of packaging for accuracy, seal integrity, and code/date compliance
+ Stack cartons or trays onto pallets/skids using proper patterns
+ Assist operators, utilities, and other production staff to maintain line efficiency
+ Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping standards
+ Follow all Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), plant policies, and food safety procedures
+ Communicate effectively with teammates and leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions
+ Identify and report safety, quality, or productivity issues to support continuous improvement
+ Perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs

+ Ability to read, write, and understand English
