Job Description
Adaptive is a cybersecurity startup on a mission to stop AI-powered cyberattacks, founded by Brian Long and Andrew Jones-proven entrepreneurs behind Attentive (Forbes Cloud 100, $10B+ valuation) and TapCommerce (acquired by Twitter). In April 2025, Adaptive raised $3M, led by a16z and the OpenAI Fund, marking OpenAI's first-ever cybersecurity investment.
As generative AI drives new cyber threats, Adaptive is building the defense layer every organization needs. Our platform combines personalized security training, AI-driven attack simulations, and automated threat triage, all powered by the Adaptive Risk Intelligence Engine to quantify human risk at the individual level. Trusted by top banks, tech companies, and healthcare organizations, we protect teams from emerging threats like deepfakes, smishing, and voice scams. With a solid product foundation and a 200B+ market to transform, we're just getting started.
The Role
Adaptive is hiring a Lead, Website Engineer -a front-end-savvy builder who will treat as a full-fledged product. You'll lead the architecture, development, and ongoing evolution of our website, combining custom-coded front-end engineering with advanced Webflow development to build one of the most sophisticated inbound engines in cybersecurity.
This role blends no-code and code. You'll own all things related to our website stack-Webflow, CMS structure, interactions, performance, and integrations-while also stepping in with custom HTML/CSS/JS where needed. You'll work closely with marketing, design, and leadership to rapidly ship high-impact pages, experiments, and product updates.
What You'll Do
Own the Adaptive Website Like a Product
- Serve as the technical owner of AdaptiveSecurity.com-including performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Lead development inside Webflow, with deep knowledge of its CMS, layout engine, animations, and structure.
- Extend Webflow with custom code when needed-via embeds, libraries, or external integrations.
- Build reusable systems and components to support rapid iteration and high design fidelity.
- Translate high-fidelity Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect web experiences.
- Launch new landing pages, A/B tests, and user flows on a weekly basis.
- Optimize for conversions, speed, and UX across devices, use cases, and campaign goals.
- Connect the site to tools like HubSpot, Clearbit, analytics platforms, and more.
- Set up tagging, conversion tracking, personalization logic, and SEO infrastructure.
- Ensure clean data flows from the site to our CRM, ad platforms, and reporting dashboards
- Work with marketers, designers, and execs to scope, prioritize, and ship high-impact updates.
- Be the person behind the website-running it like a living growth engine
Hybrid Website Engineer / Webflow Master
- You're an engineer who loves the intersection of no-code and code-and can move fluently between both.
- You have deep experience building in Webflow: CMS architecture, custom interactions, performance tuning, advanced animations, etc.
- You know when to use Webflow's native tools-and when to drop in custom HTML/CSS/JS for full control.
- You understand layout, responsiveness, accessibility, and performance.
- You can take a Figma file and turn it into an elegant, responsive, production-quality page-without cutting corners.
- You care about speed, polish, and consistency across everything you ship.
- You've worked on landing pages, funnels, and campaign-driven web surfaces.
- You understand CRO, testing, user journeys, and performance analytics.
- You don't just build what's asked-you improve what exists.
- You want full ownership over Adaptive's website and the impact it drives.
- You're energized by autonomy and want to build something that scales with the company.
- You ship fast, fix fast, and continuously raise the bar.
- High Impact: You'll be the driving force behind a product used by thousands of security buyers and practitioners every day.
- Equity & Growth: Share in Adaptive's upside alongside seasoned founders with multiple B+ exits.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus wellness stipends.
- Culture of Innovation: Fast-paced, collaborative environment that rewards experimentation and bold ideas.
- Career Development: Direct exposure to executive leadership and opportunities to expand into broader paid media and growth functions as we scale.
If you're ready to turn a Webflow website into the most sophisticated inbound-growth engine in cybersecurity, join Adaptive as our Lead, Website Engineer and help shape the digital face of the AI defense layer.
